New Delhi,

Infertility is a situation whereby an individual is unable to conceive or give birth to an offspring due to several limitations and restrictions. This problem is general seen in males and is termed as ‘Male Infertility’

Male Infertility is a process whereby, the male is ineffectual to cause pregnancy while the female is fertile and it happens due to shortfalls in the male semen. Male Infertility is due to low production of sperm, obstructions in intercepting the delivery of sperm or even dysfunctional sperm. Injuries, sickness, lifestyle factors and several other reasons influence and play a vital role in causing infertility among men.

Male Infertility can often be depressing and cause dejection and despondency in the lives of male counterparts.  Men might start feeling incapable and may wash hands from this very important phase of life.

Ejaculation Issues, Hormonal imbalances, Hormonal imbalances, Genetic conditions, Infections like Sexually Transmitted Diseases, urinary tract infections etc., Varicocele which is swelling of the veins that leads to deterioration of testicles are the reasons which cause infertility among males.

Male Infertility can be treated by the following ways:

1.     In-vitro Fertilization: It is a technique which helps to conceive where the eggs and sperms are collected from prospective parents respectively. They are then fertilized in a controlled environment where after few days, the fertilized eggs are embedded in the prospective mother’s uterus.

2.     Intra Uterine Insemination: During this technique, the sperms are placed inside the prospective mother’s uterus for smooth fertilization. This process is undertaken to increase the number of sperm that reach the fallopian tubes and subsequently increase the chance of fertilization and thus, conceiving.

3.     Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection: In this process, a single sperm is injected into the egg. This technique is used in order to prepare the gametes that may be transferred to a maternal uterus. Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection is an advanced stage of In Vitro Fertilization.

Several prospective parents explore traditional methods rather than considering Infertility Centre. The success rate of infertility center’s has been increasing with each passing day due to enhanced technology and qualified doctors.
