The NEET PG 2026 examination is underway today, with medical graduates across India appearing for the computer-based postgraduate entrance test conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences.
The examination began at 9:00 AM and will conclude at 12:30 PM. NBEMS is conducting the test in a single shift at designated centres across the country.
Search interest in “NEET PG exam time” rose sharply on Sunday morning as candidates and their families looked for the examination schedule, entry deadline, question pattern and result-related information.
NEET PG 2026 Exam Timing Today
Candidates were instructed to report two hours before the examination because of identity verification, biometric registration and security screening.

The entry deadline has already passed. Candidates reaching the reporting counter after 8:30 AM were not permitted to enter the examination centre.
NBEMS published the timings through its official NEET PG 2026 test-day advisory.
How Many Questions Are in NEET PG 2026?
The computer-based examination contains 180 multiple-choice questions carrying a total of 720 marks.
Candidates receive four marks for every correct response. One mark is deducted for each incorrect answer, while unanswered questions carry no penalty.
The total examination duration is three hours and 30 minutes. Candidates must manage their time carefully because the test follows section-specific timing restrictions.
Documents Required at the Examination Centre
Candidates were required to carry a clear printed copy of their NEET PG 2026 admit card with a recent passport-size photograph attached in the prescribed space.
They also needed an original and valid government-issued photo identity document. Acceptable documents include:
- Aadhaar card
- PAN card
- Passport
- Voter ID
- Driving licence
Candidates were also advised to bring the required permanent or provisional medical-registration documentation mentioned in the official information bulletin.
Electronic devices, calculators, notes, writing material, jewellery and other prohibited articles were not permitted beyond the security checkpoint.
What Happens After the NEET PG Examination?
Once the examination ends at 12:30 PM, attention will shift to candidate reactions, overall difficulty and section-wise paper analysis.
Candidates should remember that answer keys, scores and cut-off predictions circulating immediately after the examination will be unofficial. NBEMS has not released any answer key or result at the time of this update.

When Will the NEET PG 2026 Result Be Declared?
NBEMS will publish the NEET PG result through its official portals. Candidates should monitor only:
