Monterey, California, August 18, 2026

Aston Martin Valen has made its debut as the British luxury automaker’s most powerful front-engined production car yet, combining an 850PS twin-turbo V12 with an aggressive carbon-fiber body, major weight reductions and a production run limited to just 150 examples worldwide.

Introduced in Monterey, California, during the Monterey Car Week period, the Valen is the latest ultra-exclusive V12 project from Q by Aston Martin, the company’s bespoke personalization division. Aston Martin says the car is also the most powerful front-engined model in its 113-year history.

First customer deliveries are scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2027, making Valen one of the rarest new Aston Martin models heading into production.

Aston Martin Valen Gets an 850PS Twin-Turbo V12

At the heart of the Aston Martin Valen is the company’s familiar 5.2-liter twin-turbocharged V12, developed into its most powerful front-engined specification yet.

The engine produces:

  • 850PS
  • 1,000Nm of torque
  • Rear-wheel drive
  • Eight-speed ZF automatic transmission

For comparison, the current Aston Martin Vanquish produces 835PS and 1,000Nm, meaning the Valen gains another 15PS while retaining the same peak torque figure.

Aston Martin has also reworked the gearbox calibration using shift strategies derived from its Vantage GT4 racing program, with the goal of delivering quicker and more engaging changes in every driving mode.

0-60mph in 3.0 Seconds

Performance is suitably dramatic.

Aston Martin says the Valen can accelerate from 0-60mph in 3.0 seconds, while its electronically limited top speed is 214mph, equivalent to approximately 345km/h.

The car offers Sport, Sport+ and Track driving modes, with different throttle calibrations designed to change the way the V12 responds to driver inputs.

Sport and Sport+ use a more aggressive throttle map, while Track mode gives the driver more progressive control when operating near the car’s limits.

Valen Is Up to 110kg Lighter

Reducing mass was another major engineering priority.

Aston Martin says the Valen can save up to 110kg compared with its core V12 platform through extensive use of lightweight materials such as:

  • Carbon fiber
  • Aluminum
  • Titanium
  • Magnesium

An optional lightweight package goes even further, using machined aluminum suspension components and titanium chassis bolts to save another 16.9kg.

The result is intended to make the Valen feel significantly more responsive than the GT platform on which its mechanical architecture is based.

Magnesium Wheels and Bespoke Pirelli Tires

Lightweight magnesium wheels come as standard.

They are wrapped in specially developed Aston Martin-specification Pirelli P Zero R tires measuring:

Front: 275/35 ZR21
Rear: 325/30 ZR21

Aston Martin says the combination is designed to reduce unsprung weight while improving steering response and overall wheel control.

Pirelli Cyber Tyre Sends Real-Time Data to the Car

One of Valen’s more unusual technologies is Pirelli Cyber Tyre.

The system allows tire data to be transmitted in real time to the vehicle’s dynamic control architecture.

Working with technology developed alongside Bosch Engineering, the information can be used by systems including:

  • Electronic stability control
  • ABS
  • Traction control

The objective is to allow the vehicle to continuously adjust control thresholds according to tire conditions.

Chassis Tuned for Sharper Driver Response

Aston Martin has also made extensive changes to the Valen’s suspension, steering and braking calibration.

Model-specific springs, helper springs and Bilstein DTX semi-active dampers are used, while the rear subframe is solid-mounted.

The manufacturer says the setup reduces body roll and pitch while giving the car faster responses to steering inputs.

Carbon-ceramic brakes measure 410mm at the front and 360mm at the rear, reinforcing the car’s performance-focused character.

Valen Looks Far More Aggressive Than a Traditional Aston Martin GT

The styling marks a substantial departure from Aston Martin’s more traditionally elegant grand tourers.

Chief Creative Officer Marek Reichman describes the Valen as an opportunity to explore more extreme visual themes, with a sharper stance and a more overtly performance-focused appearance.

The front end features deeply recessed slim headlights, an angular grille and a sharply profiled splitter.

A functional bonnet vent helps manage airflow, while large openings in the front fenders extract air from the wheel arches.

Functional Aero Replaces Decorative Details

Traditional Aston Martin side strakes have been reinterpreted as large functional aerodynamic vents.

These openings direct air away from the wheel arches and along the sides of the car.

Saw-tooth vortex generators along the lower body are also designed to reduce lift and increase aerodynamic stability.

The changes make the Valen look considerably more aggressive than the Vanquish while still retaining Aston Martin’s front-engine, rear-wheel-drive proportions.

Rear Window Replaced by Solid Tailgate

The rear is equally unconventional.

Instead of a conventional fixed rear window and trunk lid, Aston Martin has fitted the Valen with a solid tailgate.

Opening it reveals 170 liters of luggage space, enough for a dedicated optional touring luggage set.

The upper section of the tailgate incorporates an aerodynamic element that works like a Gurney flap, creating downforce without requiring a large motorsport-style rear wing.

A thin full-width light bar sits below it.

Quad 3D-Printed Titanium Exhausts

Perhaps one of Valen’s most dramatic details is its exhaust system.

Four exhaust outlets are arranged in a two-upper, two-lower configuration.

The tips are made from 3D-printed titanium, helping reduce weight while creating a highly distinctive rear design.

The upper exhaust outlets remain open, while the lower outlets are valve-controlled and open depending on the selected driving mode.

Aston Martin has also tuned the exhaust specifically to emphasize higher-frequency V12 sounds as engine speed rises.

Full Exposed Carbon-Fiber Body Available

Valen already uses a full carbon-fiber body, but Q by Aston Martin will offer customers the option of leaving the carbon weave completely exposed.

The exposed carbon can also be tinted in different colors and finished in either satin or gloss.

Because each car is handled through Q by Aston Martin, buyers will have extensive scope to personalize colors, trims and materials.

Valen Cabin Gets a New Driver-Focused Layout

The cabin also receives significant changes rather than simply copying the Vanquish interior.

Aston Martin has developed a slimmer center console using advanced 3D-printed components.

The console is angled toward the driver and incorporates performance controls derived from the Valhalla.

The central touchscreen is positioned at a different angle to better integrate with the more compact cockpit architecture.

Sport Plus or Carbon-Fiber Performance Seats

Customers can choose between two primary seat designs.

Sport Plus seats are intended to balance support with comfort over long-distance journeys.

For a more focused setup, buyers can specify lightweight carbon-fiber performance seats.

The Valen also provides a wide range of leather, Alcantara, color and quilting combinations through Q by Aston Martin.

Only 150 Aston Martin Valen Cars Will Be Made

Exclusivity is central to the project.

Aston Martin has confirmed production will be strictly limited to 150 cars worldwide.

Each will be produced as a highly personalized Q by Aston Martin model, with the first examples scheduled to reach customers in Q2 2027.

That limited production run places Valen alongside Aston Martin’s other highly exclusive special projects, including Valour, Valiant and DBR22.

What Is the Aston Martin Valen Price?

The supplied reports put the Valen at around £1.5 million before options, which would translate to a very high price in Indian currency before duties and taxes.

However, Aston Martin’s official Valen announcement does not publish a confirmed list price.

For that reason, the £1.5 million figure should currently be treated as an externally reported estimate rather than an officially announced Aston Martin MSRP.

Customers will also be able to add extensive Q personalization, potentially pushing the final transaction value substantially higher depending on specification.

Why the Aston Martin Valen Matters

The Valen arrives at a time when many performance brands are investing heavily in electrification and hybrid technology.

Aston Martin, however, is using the limited-production model to showcase just how far it can still push a traditional front-engined V12 architecture.

With 850PS, extensive carbon-fiber construction, magnesium wheels, titanium components and motorsport-inspired chassis tuning, the Valen is designed less as a conventional luxury GT and more as an extreme interpretation of Aston Martin’s front-engine formula.

It is also a reminder that the company’s V12 program remains an important part of its highest-performance and most exclusive vehicles.

Official Aston Martin Information

Aston Martin officially unveiled the Valen on August 14, 2026, describing it as the most powerful front-engined production car from a manufacturer and the most powerful front-engined Aston Martin in the company’s history.

The company has also opened access to a dedicated Valen configurator for prospective customers.

Bottom Line

The Aston Martin Valen is one of the most extreme front-engined cars the British manufacturer has ever created.

Its 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 develops 850PS and 1,000Nm, while lightweight materials cut up to 110kg compared with Aston Martin’s core V12 platform.

Add 214mph performance, magnesium wheels, Cyber Tyre technology, 3D-printed titanium exhausts and an ultra-limited 150-car production run, and Valen becomes far more than a faster Vanquish.

With first deliveries scheduled for Q2 2027, it will also become one of Aston Martin’s most exclusive modern V12 models.
