Iran US Peace Agreement
Tensions between Iran and the United States have escalated again after Mojtaba Khamenei, Iran’s Supreme Leader, accused Washington of violating the recently signed Iran-US peace agreement and declared that the accord had effectively lost its credibility.
In a message addressed to the Iranian people, Khamenei alleged that the United States had failed to honor the commitments outlined in the memorandum of understanding (MoU), arguing that the move demonstrated that “President Donald Trump’s signature has no value.” His remarks were reported by China’s state-run Xinhua News Agency.
Khamenei Accuses US of Violating the Agreement
Khamenei said the alleged breach of the agreement exposed what he described as America’s “true face,” accusing Washington of acting in bad faith.
According to his statement, the reported violation reinforced Iran’s long-standing view that the United States is an unreliable negotiating partner.
The latest remarks come amid renewed military tensions despite an agreement that had envisioned negotiations toward a broader and final settlement within 60 days.
Warning Over Continued Military Action
Khamenei warned that if US military operations continue, Iran and what he described as the “Resistance Front” would respond forcefully.
He said any further escalation would carry serious consequences for the United States, adding that Iran would defend its national interests against continued military pressure.

Iran Says It Has Suspended Its Commitments
Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, Kazem Gharibabadi, said Tehran has stopped implementing its obligations under the agreement.
Speaking to state broadcaster IRIB, Gharibabadi accused the United States of suspending or violating its own commitments under the accord.
He also stated that, under the current circumstances, there is no room for further negotiations, emphasizing that Iran’s immediate priority is national defense.
According to Gharibabadi, Iran has already responded militarily to recent US strikes and urged Washington to pursue a different course.
Military Tensions Continue to Rise
The diplomatic dispute comes as military exchanges between the two countries have intensified over the past week.
