NEW DELHI, India | September 24, 2026 —

PFRDA Grade A Recruitment 2026 reaches its final application day today, giving eligible candidates one last opportunity to apply for 30 Officer Grade A (Assistant Manager) posts across multiple streams.

The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority opened the recruitment process on September 3. According to the official notification, online applications and fee payment close on September 24, 2026.

For candidates targeting a regulatory-sector career, the recruitment stands out because the current gross monthly emoluments at the minimum of the Grade A scale are approximately ₹2.05 lakh, including applicable allowances and PFRDA’s contribution to the National Pension System.

With the deadline arriving today, candidates who meet the eligibility criteria should complete their application carefully rather than waiting until the final hours.

PFRDA Grade A Recruitment 2026: 30 Posts Available

PFRDA has announced a total of 30 vacancies across four streams.

The vacancy distribution is:

General Stream — 25 posts

Research Stream — 2 posts

Actuary Stream — 2 posts

Official Language (Rajbhasha) — 1 post

The General stream accounts for the largest share of vacancies.

Candidates can apply for a maximum of two streams if they satisfy the educational requirements for both. However, separate applications and applicable fees are required for each stream.

Who Can Apply for General Stream?

The General stream offers the broadest eligibility.

Candidates can qualify through a recognised Master’s degree or two-year postgraduate diploma in any discipline.

PFRDA also accepts specified professional or technical qualifications, including a Bachelor’s degree in Law, Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, ACA/FCA, ACS/FCS, ACMA/FCMA or CFA qualification, subject to the conditions listed in the notification.

This broad eligibility makes the General stream particularly relevant to candidates from management, commerce, law, engineering and professional finance backgrounds.

Research Stream Eligibility

The Research stream carries two vacancies.

Eligible qualifications include specified postgraduate degrees or diplomas in areas such as Economics, Commerce, Business Administration, Econometrics, Financial Economics, Business Analytics, Finance, Statistics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and related disciplines.

Candidates should verify the exact qualification wording before applying because PFRDA lists specific acceptable subjects and degree combinations.

Actuary and Rajbhasha Posts

The Actuary stream has two vacancies.

Candidates must hold a graduation degree from a recognised institution and meet the actuarial examination requirements prescribed by PFRDA, including the specified Core Principles subjects of the Institute of Actuaries of India.

The Official Language or Rajbhasha stream has one vacancy.

Eligibility includes specified Master’s qualifications involving Hindi, Hindi Translation, English, Sanskrit, Economics or Commerce, along with the language-subject conditions mentioned in the notification.

PFRDA Grade A Age Limit

Candidates must not have exceeded 30 years of age as on July 31, 2026.

For the general upper-age condition, applicants must have been born on or after August 1, 1996.

Relaxation applies to eligible reserved-category candidates under the rules specified in the recruitment advertisement.

SC and ST candidates can receive up to five years of relaxation, while eligible OBC candidates can receive up to three years, subject to applicable conditions.

Salary Is One of the Biggest Attractions

The Grade A salary package is a major attraction of this recruitment.

The official pay scale begins at ₹62,500 and progresses through the prescribed Grade A scale up to ₹1,26,100 over the defined service period.

However, basic pay does not represent the complete monthly package.

PFRDA states that present gross emoluments at the minimum of the scale are approximately ₹2,05,000 per month.

The amount includes components such as PFRDA’s NPS contribution, Grade Allowance, Special Allowance, Dearness Allowance, Local Allowance, Housing Allowance and other applicable benefits.

Actual take-home salary can differ after deductions and depending on posting and applicable allowances.

Application Fee

For Unreserved, EWS and OBC applicants, the application fee is ₹1,000 inclusive of GST.

SC, ST, PwBD and ex-serviceman candidates are exempt from the application fee.

Candidates applying for more than one stream must submit separate applications and pay the applicable fee for each stream unless they fall under an exempt category.

Selection Will Take Place in Three Stages

PFRDA will conduct the recruitment through three stages:

Phase I — Online Screening Examination

Phase II — Online Examination

Phase III — Interview

Phase I will consist of two papers carrying 100 marks each.

Candidates who clear the required criteria will move to Phase II.

Only shortlisted candidates after Phase II will be called for the interview.

For final selection, Phase II carries 85% weightage, while the interview carries 15% weightage.

PFRDA Grade A Exam Dates

The recruitment calendar has already been announced.

Last date to apply: September 24, 2026

Phase I Online Exam: October 15, 2026

Phase II Online Exam: November 20, 2026

Phase III Interview: Date to be communicated later to successful candidates

PFRDA will provide call-letter information through its official website and candidate communication channels.

Candidates Can Be Posted Anywhere in India

Selected officers may currently be posted at PFRDA offices in New Delhi or Mumbai.

However, the recruitment notification states that selected candidates can be required to serve anywhere in India depending on the Authority’s requirements.

Applicants should therefore not assume that selection guarantees a posting in Delhi or Mumbai.

Final-Year Candidates Get an Opportunity Too

There is another important eligibility provision.

Candidates who have appeared for their final qualifying examination and are awaiting results can participate in the selection process.

However, any final offer will depend on producing proof of the required qualification within the time allowed by PFRDA.

This provision can benefit candidates who have recently completed postgraduate or professional examinations but are still waiting for final results.

How to Apply for PFRDA Grade A Recruitment 2026

Candidates should use the official PFRDA careers section and open the Officer Grade A Recruitment 2026 notice.

From there, they can access the online application system.

Applicants should carefully complete personal, educational, category and communication details.

They should also upload the required photograph, signature and documents in the prescribed format.

Before final submission, candidates should check every detail carefully because PFRDA states that requests for correction after final submission will not be entertained.

Do Not Wait Until the Last Minute

Today is the closing date.

That makes last-minute portal congestion, incomplete payments or document-upload problems a real practical risk.

Candidates who already know they are eligible should complete the process as early as possible and retain copies of the submitted application and payment receipt.

PFRDA also cautions applicants against false promises or claims relating to securing a post through unofficial means. Recruitment will take place only through the notified selection process.

PFRDA Recruitment 2026: Why This Vacancy Matters

Only 30 positions are available nationwide.

However, the combination of regulatory-sector exposure, a competitive salary package and a specialist financial-sector role could make the recruitment highly competitive.

The General stream alone offers 25 positions and accepts candidates from several educational backgrounds.

For eligible candidates who have not yet applied, September 24 is the key date.

Once the application window closes, the focus will shift quickly to the Phase I examination scheduled for October 15.

For aspirants targeting a career in India’s financial regulatory system, this is one deadline worth checking before the day ends.
