Mohan Bhagwat Women Conference will mark a historic moment in the centenary celebrations of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), with RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat set to address a large gathering of women for the first time. The special conference, scheduled for July 24 at the Dr. Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi, will focus on motherhood, family values, and the role of women in society.

Organizers expect around 280 women representatives from northern and eastern regions of India to participate in the event, alongside prominent women from public life.


First Direct Address to Women During RSS Centenary

According to organizers, this will be the first occasion in the RSS’s 100-year history that a serving Sarsanghchalak will deliver a dedicated address to a large gathering of women as part of an RSS centenary programme.

The event is being organized by the Vishwa Mangalya Sabha and forms part of the organization’s nationwide centenary outreach initiatives.

Bhagwat’s lecture will focus on themes related to:

  • Motherhood
  • Family values
  • Women’s contribution to society
  • Social responsibility

Representatives From Across Northern India

The conference will bring together approximately 280 women delegates representing various regions across northern and eastern India.

According to Vrushali Joshi, National Organising Secretary of the Vishwa Mangalya Sabha, the programme will also be attended by women leaders from diverse sectors, including:

Senior RSS functionaries are also expected to be present during the conference.


Second Lecture Scheduled in Hyderabad

Following the New Delhi programme, Mohan Bhagwat is scheduled to deliver another lecture on July 25 and 26 in Hyderabad.

The Hyderabad event will include women participants from:

  • Tamil Nadu
  • Kerala

Conference Comes Amid Debate on Women’s Reservation

The conference coincides with ongoing political discussions surrounding the proposed Women’s Reservation Constitutional Amendment Bill, which is expected to be a key issue during the Monsoon Session of Parliament.

According to political developments:

  • The government is working to secure the required parliamentary support for constitutional amendments related to women’s reservation.
  • An NDA meeting has been scheduled for July 21 to discuss legislative strategy.
  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to participate in the meeting.

The RSS conference and the parliamentary discussions are separate events but are taking place during the same period.

The women’s conference is one of several programmes planned as part of the RSS centenary celebrations.
