Zero Oil Cooking Creates History in Jaipur, New World Record Claimed During Shrimad Bhagwat Katha

A remarkable blend of spirituality and healthy living was witnessed in Jaipur during the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima, where organizers claimed to have set a new world record by preparing and serving completely oil- and ghee-free (Zero Oil) satvik meals to thousands of devotees attending a Shrimad Bhagwat Katha at Mansarovar.

The initiative was organized jointly by Vishva Mangalam Seva Sansthan and Gaumaya, promoting healthy eating and lifestyle awareness through large-scale community participation.

26th World Record Claimed by Gaumaya

According to Dr. Sitaram Gupta, Founder of Gaumaya, the organization has claimed 25 world records over the past 12 months, with the latest Zero Oil Cooking initiative becoming its 26th claimed world record in the 13th month.

He described the achievement as another milestone in promoting healthier dietary habits and public awareness about nutritious cooking methods.

Largest Zero Oil Satvik Meal During a Bhagwat Katha

Chief organizer Giriraj Prasad Manak Bohra said the event marked the first time such a large-scale Zero Oil Cooking initiative had been conducted during a Shrimad Bhagwat Katha.

According to the organizers, thousands of devotees were served wholesome satvik meals prepared entirely without cooking oil or ghee. They believe the initiative could inspire wider adoption of healthier food practices across religious and community gatherings.

Health-Focused Initiative Inspired by Healthy Living

The event’s chief guest, Dr. D.P. Sharma, identified by the organizers as a UNESCO Digital Diplomat, author, and Brand Ambassador for the Swachh Bharat Mission, praised the initiative and said it aligned with efforts to encourage healthier dietary habits.

He stated that the organizers intend to prepare a policy brief highlighting the project’s success story and share it with policymakers to encourage wider adoption of Zero Oil Cooking practices across the country.

Experts Highlight Benefits of Oil-Free Cooking

Presiding over the ceremony, internationally known motivational speaker and management expert Dr. P.M. Bhardwaj, Chief Advisor to Gaumaya, emphasized that excessive consumption of unhealthy and adulterated cooking oils has contributed to the growing burden of lifestyle diseases.

He said awareness campaigns promoting healthier eating habits could play an important role in building a healthier society and positioning India as a global example of wellness-focused living.

Guest of Honour and retired Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer Ajay Gupta also described the initiative as an encouraging step, noting that public acceptance of large-scale Zero Oil Cooking is particularly significant at a time when concerns over adulterated edible oils continue to grow.

World Record Certificate Presented

During the ceremony, organizers said the official world record certificate was presented by noted industrialist and social worker Yogesh Mittal in the presence of Pujya Shri Madan Mohan Ji Maharaj.

The large-scale preparation of the satvik community meal was supervised by chefs Sameer Gupta and Raja Mukeem.

The event was attended by chief patrons Rajesh Chaudhary, Ashok Gupta, patron Om Prakash (Advocate), and thousands of devotees, who participated in the religious gathering and received the oil-free mahaprasad.
