MUMBAI, India | September 21, 2026 — India Box Office Collection turned into another remarkable Sunday for Hanuman Ansh. Even after 45 days in theatres, the spiritual drama pulled in an estimated ₹13.75 crore India net on September 20, comfortably staying ahead of much newer Hindi releases.
The weekend also delivered growth for Mirzapur The Movie and VIBE, while Daayra struggled to convert its initial Saturday jump into a bigger Sunday.
Meanwhile, Tamil film Mandaadi produced another strong result and emerged as one of Sunday’s biggest theatrical performers outside Hindi cinema.
Here is the complete box office picture.
Hanuman Ansh Does the Unthinkable on Day 45
Most films begin losing screens and audience attention after six weeks. Hanuman Ansh, however, continues to move in the opposite direction.
The film collected an estimated ₹13.75 crore India net on its 45th day, jumping sharply from Saturday’s ₹9.75 crore.
Its India net collection has now reached approximately ₹271.88 crore, while the estimated worldwide gross stands at around ₹347.05 crore.
What makes the performance extraordinary is the film’s journey.
Hanuman Ansh opened with just ₹10 lakh on August 7. Instead of disappearing after the first weekend, it kept gaining momentum through audience word of mouth.
By its seventh weekend, the film was still playing thousands of shows and earning more on Sunday than several fresh releases combined.
Hanuman Ansh Box Office
Day 43, Friday: ₹5.00 crore
Day 44, Saturday: ₹9.75 crore
Day 45, Sunday: ₹13.75 crore
Total India Net: ₹271.88 crore
Worldwide Gross: ₹347.05 crore approximately
The Sunday collection alone represented around 41% growth over Saturday.
Mirzapur The Movie Crosses ₹215 Crore India Net
Mirzapur The Movie remains another major theatrical player.
The Pankaj Tripathi-led film collected approximately ₹5 crore India net on its third Sunday, taking its domestic net total to around ₹215.70 crore.
Its worldwide gross has reached approximately ₹308.84 crore.
The film had opened with ₹25.75 crore and delivered an enormous first weekend. Collections have naturally slowed during the third week, but Sunday again brought an improvement.
Mirzapur The Movie Weekend
Friday: ₹2.75 crore
Saturday: ₹4.50 crore
Sunday: ₹5.00 crore
That upward weekend pattern shows that the film still has audience pull despite increased competition.
VIBE Grows Through Opening Weekend
Kunal Kemmu and Preity Zinta’s VIBE showed gradual improvement across its first three days.
The film opened at approximately ₹1.70 crore on Friday before climbing to ₹2.75 crore on Saturday.
Sunday delivered another rise to around ₹3 crore.
VIBE Opening Weekend
Friday: ₹1.70 crore
Saturday: ₹2.75 crore
Sunday: ₹3.00 crore
Opening Weekend India Net: ₹7.45 crore
The trend is encouraging, although Monday now becomes crucial.
A healthy hold on the first weekday could give VIBE room to grow through word of mouth. A steep Monday fall, however, would make the coming week much more difficult.
Daayra Fails to Grow on Sunday
Daayra, starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran, had shown a significant jump on Saturday.
However, Sunday did not bring another major increase.
The film earned approximately ₹1.75 crore on Sunday, almost the same as Saturday.
Daayra Opening Weekend
Friday: ₹1.00 crore
Saturday: ₹1.75 crore
Sunday: ₹1.75 crore
Opening Weekend India Net: ₹4.50 crore
Sunday occupancy improved compared with opening day, but the lack of further collection growth means Monday’s performance becomes especially important.
Hanuman Ansh vs VIBE vs Daayra: Sunday Tells the Story
Sunday’s Hindi box office numbers produced a striking comparison:
Hanuman Ansh — ₹13.75 crore
Mirzapur The Movie — ₹5.00 crore
VIBE — ₹3.00 crore
Daayra — ₹1.75 crore
A 45-day-old film earning substantially more than multiple newer releases is unusual.
That makes Hanuman Ansh the clearest box office story of the weekend.
Mandaadi Delivers ₹8 Crore Sunday
The action was not limited to Bollywood.
Tamil film Mandaadi collected approximately ₹8 crore India net on its 11th day, up from ₹6.55 crore on Saturday.
Its India net collection now stands at around ₹75.55 crore, while worldwide gross has crossed approximately ₹103.72 crore.
Mandaadi Second Weekend
Friday: ₹3.70 crore
Saturday: ₹6.55 crore
Sunday: ₹8.00 crore
The strong weekend growth shows that the film continues to attract theatrical audiences.
Bethlehem Kudumba Unit Maintains Strong Long Run
Malayalam cinema also has a long-running success story.
Bethlehem Kudumba Unit earned approximately ₹2.32 crore India net on its 31st day.
That took its India net total to around ₹157.45 crore.
Its estimated worldwide gross stands at approximately ₹320.63 crore, helped by a sizeable overseas contribution.
For a film already in its fifth weekend, the continued audience turnout remains significant.
The Monday Test Begins Now
Sunday can boost almost every film because families and casual audiences have more time to visit theatres.
Monday changes the equation.
For VIBE and Daayra, today’s collections will provide the first clear indication of weekday audience demand.
Mirzapur The Movie, meanwhile, needs another stable week to extend its theatrical run.
But Hanuman Ansh enters Monday from an entirely different position.
After 45 days, it is no longer fighting merely to survive in theatres. It continues to generate collections that many new films would happily accept during their opening weekend.
That makes its theatrical run one of the most fascinating box office stories of 2026 so far.
