UP Super TET 2026 registration is now underway for 12,405 Assistant Teacher vacancies across Uttar Pradesh, opening one of the biggest teaching recruitment opportunities of the year for candidates seeking government-school jobs.

The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission, or UPESSC, started accepting online applications on September 16, 2026 under Advertisement No. 05/2026.

Eligible candidates can submit their application and pay the required fee until October 15, 2026.

The written examination is scheduled for December 3 and December 4, 2026.

Candidates must complete One Time Registration, or OTR, before submitting the application form.

UP Super TET 2026 Vacancy: 12,405 Posts Available

The recruitment drive covers two major groups of Assistant Teacher vacancies.

Assistant Teacher, Urban Primary Schools: 11,508 posts
Assistant Teacher, Attached Primary Schools: 897 posts
Total Vacancies: 12,405

The 897 attached-primary vacancies are further divided between institutions connected with boys’ and girls’ schools.

The scale of the recruitment makes UP Super TET 2026 an important opportunity for qualified teaching aspirants across Uttar Pradesh.

UP Super TET 2026 Important Dates

Candidates should keep the following dates in mind:

Notification Released: September 15, 2026
Online Applications Started: September 16, 2026
Last Date to Apply: October 15, 2026
Last Date for Fee Payment: October 15, 2026
Correction Deadline: October 19, 2026
Written Exam: December 3 and 4, 2026

Applicants should avoid waiting until the final day because heavy traffic on recruitment portals can sometimes cause login, payment or document-upload problems.

OTR Is Mandatory Before Applying

UPESSC requires candidates to complete One Time Registration before they can submit the UP Super TET application.

Candidates who already possess a valid OTR number should use it to access the application system.

New applicants need to complete OTR first and ensure that personal details such as their name, date of birth and educational information match their official documents.

Incorrect details at the registration stage could create complications during document verification.

Who Can Apply for UP Super TET 2026?

Eligibility depends on the Assistant Teacher category selected by the applicant.

Candidates generally need the prescribed graduation and recognised teacher-training qualifications mentioned in the official recruitment notification.

Applicable teacher eligibility qualifications, including CTET or UPTET requirements where specified for the relevant post, must also be satisfied.

Because educational requirements can vary between categories, candidates should check Advertisement No. 05/2026 carefully before submitting the application.

Simply possessing a graduation degree does not automatically make every candidate eligible.

CTET and UPTET Candidates Should Check Their Eligibility

Candidates who have qualified CTET or UPTET are expected to generate significant interest in the recruitment.

However, teacher eligibility tests form only one part of the qualification requirements.

Applicants must also meet the prescribed academic, teacher-training and other eligibility conditions attached to the particular vacancy they select.

Candidates should therefore match their certificates against the official notification rather than relying only on a general recruitment summary.

UP Super TET Exam on December 3 and 4

UPESSC has scheduled the written examination for December 3 and 4, 2026.

That gives candidates roughly two and a half months from the start of the application period to prepare for the examination.

The recruitment process is expected to include a written examination followed by the subsequent verification stages prescribed by the commission.

Candidates should monitor official notices for detailed exam schedules, admit cards, examination centres and any changes to the timetable.

How to Apply for UP Super TET 2026

The application process is completely online.

Candidates should first complete UPESSC One Time Registration if they have not already done so.

After obtaining the OTR number, applicants can log in to the recruitment portal, select the Assistant Teacher recruitment under Advertisement No. 05/2026 and complete the online form.

Applicants will need to provide their personal information, educational qualifications and other required details.

They should then upload the prescribed documents, submit the applicable fee and review the form carefully before final submission.

A copy of the completed application and payment confirmation should be saved for future reference.

Check Documents Before Final Submission

Candidates should keep relevant documents ready before starting the application.

These may include educational certificates, teacher-training qualification documents, TET certificates where applicable, identity proof, category or reservation certificates where relevant and other records required under the notification.

Names, parents’ names and dates of birth should match supporting documents.

Even small discrepancies can delay verification later in the recruitment process.

Why This Recruitment Is Significant

Uttar Pradesh has announced a broader teacher recruitment exercise involving more than 15,000 teaching positions across the Basic and Secondary Education sectors.

The 12,405 Assistant Teacher posts form the largest component of that drive.

Separate vacancies have also been announced for Lecturer or PGT-level positions.

For candidates seeking primary-school teaching jobs, however, the Assistant Teacher recruitment represents the biggest immediate opportunity.

Do Not Wait Until October 15

Although candidates have until October 15 to apply, completing the form early offers several advantages.

It gives applicants more time to correct mistakes, arrange missing certificates and resolve payment or registration issues.

The correction process remains available until October 19, subject to the conditions specified by UPESSC.

Candidates should nevertheless aim to submit an accurate application the first time rather than depending on the correction window.

Beware of Fake Recruitment Links

Large government recruitment drives often attract fake websites, misleading social-media posts and fraudulent payment links.

Applicants should submit their form only through the official UPESSC application system.

Candidates should never share passwords, OTPs or banking information with individuals claiming they can guarantee selection.

Recruitment depends on the official examination and selection process.

What Candidates Should Do Now

Candidates interested in UP Super TET 2026 should first confirm their eligibility and complete OTR.

Next, they should submit the application well before October 15 and begin focused preparation for the December examination.

With 12,405 Assistant Teacher positions available, the recruitment is likely to draw a large number of applicants.

For serious candidates, the most important dates are now clear: October 15 for applications and December 3–4 for the written examination.
