Dr. PM Bhardwaj Calls Engineers Key Pillars of India’s Future
Dr. PM Bhardwaj engineering students address at the Global Institute of Technology in Jaipur urged newly admitted first-year students to use knowledge, innovation and strong character to contribute to India’s development.
The nationally recognized motivational speaker and management mentor delivered the message during an orientation program organized for incoming engineering students at the institute’s Sitapura campus.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Bhardwaj said engineers should not view their education merely as a pathway to employment. Instead, he encouraged them to recognize their wider responsibility as innovators, problem-solvers and contributors to national progress.
“An engineer is not simply a young person seeking a job but an important pillar of nation-building,” Dr. Bhardwaj told the students.

Dr. Bhardwaj said engineers would play an increasingly important role in emerging fields that are expected to influence India’s economic and technological future.
He highlighted artificial intelligence, robotics, space technology, renewable energy, semiconductor manufacturing and digital technology as areas offering major opportunities for the next generation of engineers.
According to him, students must develop technical expertise while also cultivating creativity, ethical values and an ability to solve practical problems.
He urged them to use their knowledge, skills, character and innovative thinking to help build a developed and self-reliant India.
The message encouraged students to look beyond conventional career paths and understand how engineering solutions can improve industries, public services, environmental sustainability and everyday life.
Bhardwaj Highlights India’s Knowledge Heritage
During his address, Dr. Bhardwaj discussed India’s historic contributions to mathematics, medicine, astronomy, architecture, science and technology.
He said India had been recognized as a prosperous center of learning in ancient times and had shared important knowledge with the wider world.
Connecting that history with the present, he said India was again progressing rapidly across scientific and technological fields. He expressed confidence that the country could emerge as a leading global knowledge and innovation center.
“The dream of making India a global leader can certainly be realized if the country’s young people make a determined commitment,” he said.

Dr. Bhardwaj said cleanliness should not be viewed solely as a government program. He described it as the responsibility of every citizen and called on young people to participate actively in cleanliness initiatives.
He also praised the work being undertaken by Dr. D.P. Sharma in support of the Swachh Bharat campaign. In his remarks, Dr. Bhardwaj highlighted Dr. Sharma’s efforts in his capacity as a national brand ambassador for the initiative.
