NEW DELHI, India | September 15, 2026 — Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 17 Pro series in India, pushing battery capacity to an unusually high level in the competitive upper mid-range smartphone market. The lineup includes the Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G, with batteries ranging from 9,000mAh to a massive 10,000mAh.

Prices start at ₹36,999 for the Redmi Note 17 Pro. Meanwhile, the top-end Redmi Note 17 Pro Max starts at ₹49,999 and combines its 10,000mAh silicon-carbon battery with 100W fast charging.

Both phones also feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 3,500 nits of peak brightness, making battery endurance and outdoor visibility two of the biggest selling points of the new series.

The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G starts at ₹49,999 for the 8GB + 256GB version. Its 12GB + 256GB configuration costs ₹55,999.
