IPL Records Context
The IPL has witnessed several iconic innings over the years. The highest individual score remains Chris Gayle’s unbeaten 175 in 2013, followed by Brendon McCullum’s 158* in the inaugural 2008 season.
Sharma himself has been part of this elite list, having previously scored 141 in 2025. With his latest 135*, he now holds another spot among the tournament’s top five highest scores.
New T20 Milestone
Beyond IPL records, Sharma has also achieved a remarkable T20 milestone. He has now scored 130+ runs in a single innings four times, the most by any player in T20 cricket.
In doing so, he surpassed legends like Chris Gayle and Aaron Finch, who have three such scores each.
Additionally, Sharma reached another landmark by completing 350 sixes in T20 cricket, underlining his reputation as a power-hitter.
Match Outlook
With a formidable target on the board, Delhi Capitals face a steep challenge in the chase. The outcome will depend heavily on their top-order response against Hyderabad’s bowling attack.
