MUMBAI, India | August 27, 2026 — Box Office Collection Today August 27 2026 has a clear new leader after Yash’s Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups stormed theaters with an estimated ₹101.10 crore India-net opening, dramatically reshaping the theatrical race across the country.
The Geetu Mohandas-directed film also generated an estimated ₹120.75 crore India gross and around ₹140.75 crore worldwide on its opening day, giving Yash one of the biggest theatrical starts of 2026.
The arrival of Toxic has immediately put pressure on holdover releases, particularly Emraan Hashmi’s Awarapan 2, although that film has already built a formidable run of its own and remains close to the ₹145 crore India-net mark.
Ravi Teja’s Irumudi continues to perform strongly in the Telugu market, while Suriya’s Vishwanath and Sons has crossed ₹108 crore India net.
