Mohan Bhagwat Gen Z Dialogue emerged as one of the most widely discussed youth interactions in India this week after the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief participated in a one-hour open conversation with Generation Z and Generation Alpha students during the India International Movement to Unite Nations (IIMUN) conference in Mumbai.
Held at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre, the interactive session covered a wide range of topics, including democracy, education, youth participation in politics, gender equality, LGBTQ rights, constitutional values, and the importance of dialogue in a diverse society.
The discussion was moderated by IIMUN Founder and President Rishabh Shah, whose organization has hosted Model United Nations conferences and leadership forums for students across India for more than a decade.
Youth Must Keep Talking, Says IIMUN Founder
Following the session, Rishabh Shah emphasized that meaningful dialogue remains the best way to reduce polarization.
“Conversation is essential. In a country as diverse as India, the absence of dialogue only leads to greater conflict and more protests. If people communicate openly, many disagreements can be resolved through discussion rather than confrontation,” Shah said.
He encouraged members of Generation Z and Generation Alpha to continue engaging with people who hold different opinions.
“Stay connected. Keep the conversations going,” he told young attendees.
IIMUN Represents Diverse Viewpoints
Shah also stressed that IIMUN is designed as a platform for multiple perspectives rather than a single ideology.
“This is not a one-sided platform. Today’s discussion itself showed that difficult questions about the BJP, the country, and several other issues were openly asked. IIMUN welcomes diverse viewpoints and encourages respectful conversations.”
Students Describe the Experience as Meaningful
Several students attending the event described the discussion as one of the most valuable public interactions they had experienced.
One participant said meeting Bhagwat and asking questions directly was “a meaningful and memorable experience.”
Another student highlighted the importance of respecting people with differing political beliefs.
“Whether someone belongs to the Left, the Right, the Opposition, or any other group, I respect people who are willing to speak up and stand for what they believe. That is more important than labels.”
Education and Gender Equality Featured Prominently
Students also raised questions on education policy and gender equality.
One participant said the conversation broadened his understanding of several social issues.
“The discussion on education and gender equality was especially insightful. I learned a great deal from the interaction.”
LGBTQ Discussion Draws Positive Response
Among the most discussed parts of the event was Bhagwat’s response to questions regarding LGBTQ rights.
Some students appreciated that the issue was addressed during an open public forum.
One participant said it was encouraging to hear respectful comments about gender diversity and the LGBTQ community.
Another student expressed hope that legal protections for LGBTQ individuals would continue to evolve to strengthen equality and marriage rights.

Many participants described the atmosphere as refreshing because sensitive public issues were discussed openly.
One attendee said the interaction inspired young people to participate more actively in conversations about society and public policy.
“Public discussions like this are valuable because they encourage young people to listen, ask questions, and understand different viewpoints.”

Several political leaders and public personalities attending the event praised the format of the dialogue.
Maharashtra Minister Pankaja Munde commended moderator Rishabh Shah for conducting an hour-long discussion before a large audience of young people.
Shiv Sena leader Shaina NC said Bhagwat encouraged young people through a message centered on honesty, positivity, and national development.
Amruta Fadnavis, wife of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, said the discussion highlighted the importance of moving forward together through mutual respect and constructive dialogue.
Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar Stresses Respect Despite Differences
Prince Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar of Udaipur described the session as an example of meaningful democratic engagement.
He said differences of opinion are natural but should never become divisions between people.
Film Personalities Welcome the Conversation
Actors Kubbra Sait, Cyrus Broacha, and Jackky Bhagnani also attended the event.
Kubbra Sait said India needs more opportunities for people with different viewpoints to understand one another.
She also referred to a recent video released by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, describing it as an example of connecting with younger audiences.
Cyrus Broacha praised IIMUN for bringing together the RSS chief and young participants on a single platform.
“Creating a bridge between Mohan Bhagwat and Generation Z is a positive step. Dialogue like this benefits everyone.”
Jackky Bhagnani said Bhagwat answered every question thoughtfully and respectfully.
