NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 1 Registration Begins Today: Check Complete List of Required Documents

NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 1 registration has begun; candidates should keep all required documents ready before applying.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has officially started NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 1 registration today, August 5, 2026. Candidates seeking admission to MBBS, BDS, AIIMS, JIPMER, Central Universities, Deemed Universities, and 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats can now complete the online registration process through the MCC counselling portal.

Before registering, candidates are advised to keep all the required documents ready to ensure a smooth application process and avoid last-minute issues. Original documents will also be verified during college reporting after seat allotment.

Documents Required Before NEET UG Counselling Registration

MCC recommends that candidates keep the following documents and details readily available before starting the registration process.

Important Points Before Registration

Candidates should keep the following in mind before submitting their application:

  • Arrange all original documents in advance.
  • Ensure your name, date of birth, category, and other personal details match all official documents.
  • Verify that all uploaded information is accurate before final submission.
  • Read the official MCC Information Bulletin carefully before completing the registration process.

Documents Required During College Reporting

Candidates allotted a seat must report to the assigned medical, dental, or nursing college with the following original documents along with self-attested photocopies:

  • MCC Seat Allotment Letter
  • NEET UG 2026 Admit Card
  • NEET UG 2026 Result/Rank Letter
  • Date of Birth Certificate (if DOB is not mentioned in the Class 10 certificate)
  • Class 10 Certificate
  • Class 12 Certificate
  • Class 12 Marksheet
  • Eight passport-size photographs (same as used in the application form)
  • Valid Photo Identity Proof (Aadhaar, Passport, PAN Card, Driving Licence, or Voter ID)
  • OCI/PIO/Foreign National documents (if applicable)

Documents Required for Reserved Category Candidates

Candidates claiming reservation benefits must also carry the following certificates:

SC/ST Candidates

  • Caste Certificate issued by the competent authority in the prescribed format.
  • If the certificate is issued in a regional language, a certified English or Hindi translation must also be submitted.

OBC-NCL Candidates

  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Certificate issued in the Central Government’s prescribed format.
  • The candidate must belong to the Non-Creamy Layer.

EWS Candidates

  • Valid Income and Asset Certificate in the prescribed format.

PwD Candidates

  • Disability Certificate issued by the MCC-designated Medical Assessment Board.

Why Keeping Documents Ready Is Important

Although the online registration process is straightforward, incorrect or incomplete documentation may delay counselling or even lead to cancellation of candidature during verification. Candidates are therefore advised to cross-check every document before registration and reporting.
