Trump Iran Warning has escalated tensions in the Middle East after US President Donald Trump said Iran must return to the negotiating table within the next week or face intensified American military action. Speaking in an interview with Fox News, Trump warned that the United States could expand its campaign to target Iran’s power plants, bridges, and other strategic infrastructure if diplomatic efforts fail.

The remarks come amid heightened regional tensions and ongoing US military operations involving Iranian-linked targets.

Trump Threatens Expanded Military Campaign

During the interview, Trump said the United States would continue military strikes in the coming days and suggested that the intensity of operations could increase if Iran refuses to negotiate.

According to Trump, the campaign would proceed in stages, with attacks on Iran’s energy infrastructure potentially taking place later.

“If they don’t come to the negotiating table, we’ll destroy all of their power plants and all of their bridges,” Trump said during the interview.

He also stated that military operations would continue until he believes the objectives of the campaign have been achieved.

Energy Infrastructure Could Become a Target

Trump said energy-related facilities were being reserved for the final phase of any expanded military operation.

According to his comments, power plants and other infrastructure could be targeted if negotiations fail to resume.

He argued that Iran now has limited options and expressed the view that Tehran would eventually have to return to diplomatic talks.

These statements reflect the President’s position and do not indicate that such strikes have been approved or carried out.

Ground Operation Not Ruled Out

When asked whether the United States would avoid launching a ground operation, Trump declined to rule out that possibility.

He said that while ground operations are sometimes necessary, military objectives can also be achieved with the assistance of allies or partners.

Trump did not announce any decision regarding future deployment of US ground forces.

Comments on Kharg Island

Trump was also asked about Kharg Island, Iran’s principal crude oil export terminal.

He claimed that US forces had previously conducted strikes in the area but deliberately avoided damaging oil export facilities because of the potential impact on global energy markets.

He added that energy infrastructure could become a future target if circumstances require it, while also suggesting that such action was not currently considered likely.

No independent evidence was presented during the interview to support these claims.

Remarks on the Strait of Hormuz

The President also commented on shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most important maritime trade routes.

Trump claimed that the waterway remains open for international commercial shipping but asserted that it has effectively been closed to Iranian vessels.

He did not provide operational details regarding how such restrictions are being enforced.

Separately, Fox News cited shipping data indicating that only 10 vessels transited the Strait of Hormuz on Monday, a figure the network said was significantly below normal traffic levels.

US-Iran Contacts Continue

Trump disclosed that US representatives had spoken with Iranian officials approximately one hour before the interview.

According to him, the message delivered to Tehran was that it should agree to negotiations or risk facing additional consequences.

He said US officials urged Iran to reach an agreement, warning that failure to do so could leave the country facing severe military and economic consequences.

Regional Tensions Remain High

Trump’s latest remarks underscore continuing tensions between Washington and Tehran as diplomatic efforts remain uncertain.

At the time of his interview:

  • No new agreement had been announced between the two countries.
  • No official timeline for renewed negotiations had been confirmed.
  • The United States had not announced any formal decision to expand military operations against Iran’s energy infrastructure.

Developments are expected to remain closely watched by governments, energy markets, and international observers because of the strategic importance of the Middle East and global oil supplies.
