The film sold nearly 1.94 lakh tickets across approximately 8,619 tracked shows for its opening day. When blocked seats are included, the booking value rises to an estimated ₹8.63 crore.
The strong response gave Awarapan 2 a commanding advance-booking lead over Sunny Deol’s Batwara 1947, which also opened on August 14 ahead of the Independence Day holiday.
