Platform: Netflix | Reported release: October 9
Reporting Live follows a young reporter and an experienced cameraman whose investigation takes them into illegal sand mining. Their pursuit of a story brings them closer to people determined to keep their activities hidden.

For viewers choosing by premise, this offers an investigative thriller centered on reporting, intimidation and the consequences of exposing wrongdoing.
Carrie: A Horror Choice Before the Weekend
Platform: Prime Video | Reported release: October 7
Financial Express lists Carrie for October 7 on Prime Video. The adaptation draws on Stephen King’s story about a young girl with telekinetic powers who faces bullying and an oppressive home environment.
Its psychological horror premise makes it a different choice from the week’s action and romance offerings. However, viewers should check the platform’s age classification and content information before selecting it for a shared viewing session.
Below: A Coastal Community Faces a Threat
Platform: Netflix | Listed release: October 8
Netflix’s calendar places Below on October 8. Its premise follows a fisherman confronting a mysterious sea creature that threatens his family and coastal community.
The setting combines survival stakes with a community under pressure. Consequently, it gives suspense viewers another option before Friday’s busier release schedule.
Animals: A Kidnapping Upends a Political Family
Platform: Netflix | Listed release: October 9
Netflix describes Animals as a thriller involving a Los Angeles mayoral candidate and his wife after their son’s kidnapping. Ben Affleck and Kerry Washington play the central couple.
The premise centers on difficult decisions and personal secrets under extreme pressure. It may appeal to viewers who prefer human conflict and moral dilemmas.
Eyes: A Relationship Thriller on SonyLIV
Platform: SonyLIV | Reported release: October 9
Kerala TV reports that Eyes will begin streaming on October 9. Manu Ashokan directs the series, whose cast includes Kani Kusruti, Nikhila Vimal, Shruti Ramachandran, Saniya Iyappan and Dev Mohan.
The story examines affection turning into obsession and control. The report also lists Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada versions.
For viewers interested in regional series, this is a title to check. Nevertheless, confirm the available language tracks in the app rather than assuming every version will appear simultaneously.
Matchbox: The Movie: An Action-Comedy Alternative
Platform: Apple TV | Reported release: October 9
Apple TV lineup coverage places John Cena’s Matchbox: The Movie on October 9. The film offers an action-comedy option within a week that also includes several darker premises.
Its inclusion expands the watchlist beyond suspense and horror. Viewers seeking a movie rather than a new series can check its release page and runtime when planning their evening.
Haunted Hotel, Season 2: Paranormal Comedy Returns

Netflix lists Haunted Hotel’s second season for October 9. Its premise continues a family’s encounters with paranormal problems at their unusual property.
The returning season offers another option for viewers already following the show.
Take Charge of My Heart: Romance With a Fantasy Twist
Platform: Netflix | Listed release: October 9
Netflix’s calendar includes Take Charge of My Heart on October 9. Its premise pairs a corporate heir with an artificial heart and a woman with an unusual electrical ability.
This provides a romance-led alternative to the week’s more threatening storylines.
What to Check Before You Press Play
Start with the title’s India availability, then review its audio tracks, subtitles and age classification. For series, also check whether the platform releases the entire season or follows an episode schedule.
Finally, distinguish an upcoming release from a title already available. That small check can help you plan your viewing without paying for a subscription earlier than necessary.
