India Box Office Today September 17, 2026 has delivered another surprise as the extraordinary theatrical run of Hanuman Ansh refuses to slow down.
The Neem Karoli Baba-inspired spiritual drama earned an estimated ₹6.20 crore net in India on Wednesday, September 16, its 41st day in theaters. That performance pushed its domestic net total to approximately ₹239.51 crore.
Meanwhile, Mirzapur: The Movie remained just short of the ₹200 crore India-net mark after collecting about ₹3.73 crore on Day 13. Its domestic total now stands near ₹199.04 crore.
At the other end of the chart, Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan’s Haiwaan continued to struggle during weekdays, while Yash’s Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups slowed sharply in its extended theatrical run.
Hanuman Ansh Does the Unthinkable on Day 41
The biggest box-office story remains Hanuman Ansh.
Most films struggle to retain significant theatrical business after five weeks. However, the Vishal Chaturvedi-directed spiritual drama continues to attract audiences during its sixth week.
Wednesday brought another estimated ₹6.20 crore net, taking its 41-day domestic collection to about ₹239.51 crore.
The result becomes even more striking when compared with the film’s tiny opening.
Hanuman Ansh began its theatrical journey with only around ₹11 lakh on Day 1 before word of mouth dramatically transformed its box-office trajectory.
Its sixth weekend generated another powerful surge, proving that sustained audience interest rather than opening-day hype can still create an extraordinary theatrical success.
The film has also crossed the ₹300 crore worldwide gross milestone, according to current trade reports.
Mirzapur: The Movie Stops Just Short of ₹200 Crore
Mirzapur: The Movie now sits within touching distance of a major milestone.
The Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal and Ravi Kishan-starrer earned approximately ₹3.73 crore net on Wednesday, taking its 13-day India total to around ₹199.04 crore.
That means the film needs less than ₹1 crore to cross the ₹200 crore domestic net mark.
Wednesday’s collection, however, also revealed the weekday pressure facing the film.
Its Day 12 collection stood near ₹5.10 crore. Therefore, Wednesday brought a decline of roughly 27%.
Even so, the cumulative performance remains substantial.
Mirzapur: The Movie collected about ₹149.34 crore during its first week, helped by a strong opening weekend and the enormous popularity of the original streaming franchise.
The real test now comes from how long the film can maintain screens once new releases arrive.

The film had opened with roughly ₹3.19 crore, followed by about ₹3 crore on Saturday and ₹2.30 crore on Sunday.
Weekday collections then weakened sharply.
That trend leaves Haiwaan facing an increasingly difficult theatrical challenge ahead of its second weekend.
Despite bringing Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan together again, the film has not generated the box-office momentum expected from its star cast.
