The Box Office Collection Today race has suddenly become brutal.

Yash’s Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is not merely leading the box office—it is squeezing almost every rival for screens, shows and audience attention.

By around 8 PM on Thursday, Toxic had added an estimated ₹16.48 crore India net on Day 2, pushing its two-day domestic total to roughly ₹117.58 crore.

That comes after an eye-popping ₹101.10 crore opening day.

The live Day 2 figure is still moving and could rise after night shows are added, but one thing is already clear:

Toxic has hijacked the box office conversation.

And the biggest casualty of that storm appears to be Awarapan 2.

Toxic Roars, But Day 2 Drop Is Impossible to Ignore

After exploding with ₹101.10 crore on Day 1, Toxic was never realistically going to repeat the same number on Thursday.

Still, the fall is dramatic enough to make Day 3 and the weekend extremely important.

By 8 PM, the film had earned:

• Hindi: around ₹10.40 crore
• Kannada: around ₹4.16 crore
• Telugu: around ₹1.09 crore
• Tamil: around ₹0.61 crore
• Malayalam: around ₹0.22 crore

The Hindi version is doing the heavy lifting in absolute numbers, but Kannada markets continue to show stronger occupancy.

And with thousands of shows still running across India, the final Thursday number could move higher.

Was the ₹101 crore opening an event-day explosion—or the beginning of a monster weekend?

Awarapan 2: From Box Office Hero to Screen-Space Victim?

By Thursday evening, Emraan Hashmi’s film had managed only around ₹0.40 crore India net on Day 14, taking its domestic total to approximately ₹144.05 crore.

The number itself is not embarrassing—Awarapan 2 has already delivered a successful run.

But the speed of the slowdown is the real story.

Its reported show count has collapsed sharply as exhibitors hand premium screens and show timings to Toxic.

In other words:

Awarapan 2 is still alive—but Toxic has entered the theatre and taken the best seats.

The good news for Emraan Hashmi is that the film has already crossed ₹200 crore worldwide, making it one of the biggest solo-lead theatrical achievements of his career.

So while Awarapan 2 is slowing now, it has already pocketed a major box-office victory.

Irumudi Says: Not So Fast

If one film is refusing to quietly surrender to the Toxic tsunami, it is Irumudi.

The Ravi Teja film had collected an estimated ₹3.99 crore on Day 7 by Thursday evening, taking its India net total to approximately ₹89.24 crore.

That means the ₹90 crore mark is almost certain to fall once complete night-show numbers arrive.

More importantly, Irumudi is still showing real strength in Telugu-speaking markets.

While Toxic is stealing screens across the country, Irumudi is hanging on through regional loyalty and decent occupancy.

That makes its second weekend particularly interesting.

If it can survive the Yash wave, ₹100 crore India net suddenly comes into play.

Vishwanath and Sons Quietly Crosses the Finish Line

While everyone is shouting about Toxic, Vishwanath and Sons is quietly sitting above ₹108 crore India net.

The film collected roughly ₹0.73 crore on Day 14 by the evening, taking its total to approximately ₹108.58 crore.

Its pace has obviously slowed, but the ₹100 crore milestone is already safely in the bag.

This is the classic box-office situation where one film dominates headlines while another quietly completes a successful run.

Batwara 1947 Is Almost Out of Oxygen

For Batwara 1947, the situation is much tougher.

The film remains around the ₹37–38 crore India net zone and has been badly hit by falling show counts.

The arrival of Toxic has only made things worse.

With exhibitors prioritizing the Yash blockbuster and stronger holdovers, Batwara 1947 now has very little room left for a late comeback.

At this point, the question is no longer whether it can challenge Awarapan 2.

The question is how much more it can collect before disappearing from a significant number of screens.
