India Box Office Collection figures through Thursday, August 13, show Spider-Man: Brand New Day maintaining an extraordinary lead over every other film currently playing in the country. Among the August 7 releases, Tamil film DC has emerged as the strongest performer, while Thudakkam and Korean Kanakaraju have recorded comparatively modest first-week totals.
Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey and Thalapathy Vijay’s Jana Nayagan also remain in theaters. Both films have crossed major domestic milestones despite slowing during their extended theatrical runs.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day Remains the Clear Leader
Spider-Man: Brand New Day remained the biggest attraction at the Indian box office through August 13. The superhero film accumulated an estimated ₹442.35 crore net in India over its first 14 days.
Its estimated India gross collection reached ₹521.96 crore, placing it far ahead of the other films currently running in theaters. The film continued attracting audiences across its English, Hindi and regional-language versions, although weekday business slowed after its record-setting opening phase.
The arrival of Awarapan 2 and Batwara 1947 on August 14 will reduce its available screens. However, its accumulated total gives it an overwhelming advantage in the current box-office race.
Jana Nayagan Crosses ₹194 Crore Net in India
Thalapathy Vijay’s Jana Nayagan recorded an estimated ₹194.35 crore net and ₹229.36 crore gross in India through its first 21 days.
The film added approximately ₹65 lakh net on its 21st day as its theatrical run continued to slow. Its reported overseas gross stood at ₹93.15 crore, taking the worldwide collection to approximately ₹322.51 crore.
Despite the weekday decline, Jana Nayagan remains one of the strongest Tamil performers of the year and the second-highest domestic earner among the prominent films still being tracked in theaters.
The Odyssey Reaches ₹200 Crore Gross in India
Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey remained steady during its fourth week. The epic earned an estimated ₹1.52 crore net on Day 27, taking its cumulative India net collection to ₹169.65 crore.
After including applicable taxes, the film’s India gross collection reached approximately ₹200.20 crore. Its performance has been driven primarily by metropolitan markets and premium-format screenings.
The film accumulated ₹85.65 crore net during its opening week, followed by ₹45.67 crore in Week 2 and ₹23.69 crore in Week 3. Its sustained fourth-week performance shows that it continued to attract audiences despite newer releases.
DC Leads the August 7 Releases
DC completed its first theatrical week with the strongest performance among the films released on August 7.
The Tamil film accumulated an estimated ₹37.50 crore net in India, while its worldwide gross collection reached approximately ₹64.38 crore. Its Tamil-language shows delivered the strongest occupancy, although dubbed versions also contributed to its overall performance.
The film recorded an estimated worldwide gross of ₹5.50 crore on its seventh day. While its weekday collections declined from the weekend, it maintained a comfortable lead over its immediate competitors.
Thudakkam Completes Week 1 With ₹16 Crore
Malayalam film Thudakkam collected an estimated ₹80 lakh net on its seventh day, representing a substantial decline from the preceding day.
The film’s first-week India net collection reached approximately ₹16 crore, while its India gross was estimated at ₹18.56 crore. Overseas earnings of nearly ₹14.90 crore lifted its worldwide gross total to approximately ₹33.46 crore.

Korean Kanakaraju Slows During Weekdays
Telugu horror comedy Korean Kanakaraju earned an estimated ₹1.32 crore net on its sixth day, bringing its confirmed six-day India net collection to approximately ₹18.19 crore.
The film opened with ₹4.20 crore net and remained stable on Saturday before reaching its highest daily total on Sunday. However, its collections declined sharply after the opening weekend.
Early Day 7 tracking indicated that Thursday’s collection could remain below ₹50 lakh. Because final Day 7 figures were still being consolidated, the six-day total provides the firmer comparison. Its worldwide gross stood at approximately ₹25.54 crore after six days.
Ohh My Dog Struggles to Find an Audience
Pankaj Tripathi’s Ohh My Dog struggled throughout its opening week. The film reportedly earned around ₹20 lakh on Wednesday, taking its domestic total to approximately ₹3.95 crore.
The movie opened at around ₹90 lakh and collected ₹3.25 crore during its opening weekend. However, it failed to generate the weekday momentum required for a significant theatrical recovery.
Its low daily collections indicate that the film could lose a substantial number of screens following the arrival of the August 14 releases.
GDN Remains Below ₹5 Crore
R. Madhavan’s GDN also delivered a weak first week. The film reportedly remained below ₹5 crore worldwide after seven days.
Its opening-day India net collection was estimated at approximately ₹53 lakh. Although the film continued playing in selected locations, it remained well behind DC, which opened on the same day.
Awarapan 2 and Batwara 1947 Enter the Race
