When Will the Pixel 11 Series Go on Sale?

Google opened preorders for the three phones on August 12. Retail availability begins on August 20, 2026, through the Google Store and authorized retail partners.

The company’s announcement lists starting prices of ₹89,999 for the Pixel 11, ₹119,999 for the Pixel 11 Pro and ₹134,999 for the Pixel 11 Pro XL. Google’s official Pixel 11 announcement

Customers should confirm delivery dates and stock availability with individual retailers because availability may vary by model, storage capacity and color.

What Is the New HiLight Feature?

The most distinctive addition to the Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL is HiLight, which uses colored LED lights positioned around the rear camera flash.

HiLight delivers glanceable notifications when the phone is placed face down. Instead of repeatedly turning over the device or waking its screen, users can identify selected alerts through different colors and lighting patterns.

When Gemini is active, HiLight can display separate patterns to indicate whether the assistant is listening, processing or responding. Users can also assign custom colors to important contacts for incoming calls.

Google says it plans to expand HiLight with additional capabilities, including selected message notifications. The feature is exclusive to the Pixel 11 Pro models and is not included on the standard Pixel 11.

Pixel 11 Display and Design

The standard Pixel 11 features a 6.3-inch Actua AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and peak brightness of 3,000 nits. Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protects the display.

Google has retained the horizontal camera-bar identity but refined its profile. The Pixel 11’s edge-to-edge glass camera bar is 40% thinner than the previous generation, reducing the rear bump.

The company says the phone becomes virtually flat when paired with a Made by Google case, which should reduce wobbling when it rests on a table.

Pixel 11 Pro also uses a 6.3-inch screen, while the Pro XL provides a larger 6.8-inch panel. Both use Google’s Super Actua display technology, reaching up to 3,600 nits of peak brightness. The Pro displays also receive a new coating that Google says offers more than twice the scratch resistance of the preceding generation.

Tensor G6 Brings Faster AI Performance

Every Pixel 11 model runs on the new Google Tensor G6 processor alongside the Titan M3 security chip.

Google describes Tensor G6 as its fastest and most powerful smartphone processor to date. According to the company’s internal comparisons, the upgraded CPU enables up to 25% faster web browsing and 15% quicker application launches.

The chip also offers 50% more Tensor Processing Unit computing capability. Google claims that Tensor G6 can process supported on-device AI tasks up to 3.5 times faster while consuming up to 3.5 times less energy.

Tensor G6 runs the latest Gemini Nano model and supports Google’s broader Gemini Intelligence features. Availability of individual AI tools may vary by language, region and account eligibility.

For security, Tensor G6 works with the Titan M3 chip to provide secure boot and protection designed to address future threats, including risks associated with quantum computing.

Pixel 11 Camera Specifications

The Pixel 11 introduces a larger 48-megapixel main camera sensor that Google says provides 56% greater light sensitivity than the previous model.

Its triple-camera system includes:

  • 48-megapixel primary camera
  • 13-megapixel ultrawide camera
  • 10.8-megapixel telephoto camera
  • 10.5-megapixel front camera with autofocus
  • 5x optical telephoto capability
  • Up to 30x Super Zoom
  • 4K video recording

The inclusion of a dedicated telephoto camera gives the standard Pixel 11 a more versatile camera system than earlier non-Pro Pixels.

Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL Camera Upgrades

The two Pro models receive a new 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 48-megapixel ultrawide camera and a redesigned 48-megapixel telephoto camera.

Google says the telephoto sensor captures 30% more light. Portrait Mode can now operate at 5x zoom, allowing users to frame subjects from a greater distance.

The Pro models support 120x Pro Zoom, powered by Tensor G6 and Google’s updated computational-photography models. They also provide a 42-megapixel autofocus front camera, 8K video support and Video Boost.

Night Sight has also been accelerated. Google claims that supported low-light captures can be completed up to 4.5 times faster while maintaining image quality.

Charging, Battery and Pixelsnap Support

Pixelsnap magnetic wireless charging is built into all three phones. Google has also added Qi 2.2 charging compatibility at up to 25W to the Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro.

The company claims more than 30 hours of battery life for the Pixel 11 and Pro models under its test conditions. Actual performance will depend on display settings, connectivity, applications and usage patterns.

The Pixel 11 Pro XL receives the fastest wired charging in the lineup. Google says a 15-minute charge can provide up to 15 hours of battery life under specified test conditions.

Pixel 11 Launch Offers in India

Google Store launch offers include:

The listed launch cashback and exchange promotions run through August 31, 2026, subject to eligibility and detailed terms. The final benefit can vary by card, model, retailer and exchanged device. Official Google Store Pixel 11 offers

Google is offering six months of Google AI Pro with the Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL. The benefit includes expanded Gemini access, 5TB of cloud storage and Google Health Premium, subject to eligibility and regional conditions. Google’s official announcement does not list this six-month subscription as a standard inclusion with the regular Pixel 11.

New Pixelsnap Accessories

Google has introduced a refreshed collection of magnetic Pixelsnap accessories for the Pixel 11 family.

The lineup includes:

  • Pixelsnap Case: approximately ₹4,900
  • Pixelsnap Charger: approximately ₹4,500
  • Pixelsnap Ring Stand: approximately ₹2,979

Pixelsnap cases are available in colors designed to match the new phones. Google is also offering clear cases for buyers who want to retain the device’s original appearance.

The Ring Stand comes in Canyon, Olive and Obsidian. Accessory prices and stock may vary by retailer and should be checked at the time of purchase.

How Long Will Pixel 11 Receive Updates?

Google is promising seven years of operating-system updates, security updates and Pixel Drops for all three Pixel 11 phones.

The extended support period is a major consideration for buyers comparing long-term ownership costs. However, some AI functions and cloud services may still require subscriptions after promotional access expires.

What Stands Out in the Pixel 11 Series?

The Pixel 11 lineup focuses on four major changes: improved on-device AI performance, more capable cameras, faster charging and a refined industrial design.

The standard Pixel 11 gains a telephoto camera, 30x zoom and a thinner camera bar. Meanwhile, the Pro models differentiate themselves with brighter 3,600-nit displays, 120x Pro Zoom, up to 16GB RAM and the new HiLight notification system.

At ₹89,999, the entry-level Pixel 11 remains a premium smartphone. The launch cashback and exchange incentives can reduce the effective purchase price, but buyers should compare final retailer offers rather than relying solely on the maximum advertised discount.
