Box Office Report Today August 29 2026 opens with Yash firmly sitting on the throne, but the weekend battle is getting much more interesting.
Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has raced to approximately ₹221.45 crore worldwide gross after three days, while Ravi Teja’s Irumudi has pulled off its own milestone by crossing ₹100 crore India net.
And just when Awarapan 2 appeared to be running out of oxygen after Toxic grabbed screens across India, Emraan Hashmi’s film has shown a small but notable Friday bounce.
In other words:
Toxic is leading the race—but the rest of the box office is not ready to surrender yet.
Toxic Crosses ₹221 Crore Worldwide in Just Three Days
Yash’s Toxic collected an estimated ₹26.60 crore India net on Day 3, taking its total India net to approximately:

Awarapan 2 Refuses to Die Quietly
The arrival of Toxic badly hurt Awarapan 2’s screen count.
But Emraan Hashmi’s film delivered a small surprise on its third Friday.

No, Awarapan 2 is not going to challenge Toxic in daily collections now.
But it has already crossed ₹200 crore worldwide and continues to squeeze additional business out of a theatrical run that has turned into one of Emraan Hashmi’s strongest solo performances.

Vishwanath and Sons Inches Toward ₹190 Crore Worldwide
Vishwanath and Sons is another film quietly refusing to disappear.
Its latest available cumulative India net stands around:
₹111.07 crore
The film’s worldwide gross has climbed to approximately:
₹189.78 crore
That leaves it just short of the ₹190 crore worldwide milestone.
The Suriya-led film has slowed significantly compared with its first two weeks, but its overall theatrical result remains strong.
Its biggest challenge now is screen retention.
With Toxic dominating multiplex programming and regional releases maintaining strongholds in their home markets, every additional crore becomes harder to earn.
