Toxic advance booking has accelerated dramatically in the final hours before Yash returns to theaters, with more than 9 lakh tickets sold across India ahead of the film’s worldwide release on Wednesday, August 26.
The latest available industry tracking data shows Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has generated approximately ₹32.21 crore in confirmed advance ticket gross, while the figure rises to around ₹41.36 crore when blocked seats are included.
The distinction is important: blocked seats should not be treated as the same thing as completed ticket sales. Even without them, however, the pre-release numbers point to one of the strongest advance-booking performances for a major Indian release this year.
Toxic Crosses 9 Lakh Tickets Before Release
Advance sales have now crossed the 9 lakh-ticket mark across nearly 17,780 shows, representing a huge jump from the early booking numbers recorded when INVC NEWS first tracked the film on August 22.
At that stage, Toxic had generated approximately ₹4.36 crore in direct advance gross and sold more than 90,000 tickets.
In just a few days, the scale of booking has multiplied dramatically.

Hindi and Kannada Versions Drive Demand
The biggest battle is emerging between the Hindi and Kannada versions.
Latest tracking puts the Hindi 2D version at around ₹15.68 crore, while Kannada 2D has generated roughly ₹13.02 crore.
Karnataka remains one of the strongest territories overall, supported by Yash’s extraordinary home-state fan base.
Bengaluru has emerged as a major center of demand, with premium shows and high ticket prices contributing substantially to the advance total.
The film is also releasing in multiple languages, including Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and English, giving it a broad pan-India footprint.

The ensemble cast includes Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth alongside Yash.
The film has received an A certificate in India and has a runtime of approximately three hours and 14 minutes.
Can Toxic Open Above ₹100 Crore Worldwide?

Some trade projections suggest Toxic could challenge the ₹100 crore worldwide opening-day mark, with more bullish estimates extending toward ₹120 crore.
But those figures remain predictions — not collections.
The final Day 1 worldwide gross will depend on actual occupancy, walk-in audiences, overseas business, show additions and how strongly markets such as Telugu-speaking states respond once the film opens.
Advance bookings alone cannot guarantee a ₹100 crore opening.
However, crossing nine lakh advance tickets gives Toxic a substantial base heading into release day.
Toxic Now Faces the KGF Comparison
Yash’s biggest benchmark remains KGF: Chapter 2.
That comparison should also be treated carefully.
KGF: Chapter 2 entered theaters as a sequel to an established blockbuster with years of accumulated audience anticipation. Toxic, by contrast, is introducing new characters and a new story.
That makes its current advance performance notable even if it does not match every KGF 2 pre-sale record.
