YMCA University of Science and Technology, Faridabad has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR), Chandigarh. The collaboration will support the YMCA University’s vision for enriching the quality of technical education and training.
MoU was signed by Prof Dinesh Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of YMCA University of Science and Technology, Faridabad and Prof. Shyam Sundar Pattnaik, Director, NITTTR, Chandigarh. The MoU is valid for three years which can further be renewed with the consent of both the Institutions.
Prof. Shyam Sundar Pattnaik said that the MoU envisaged the mutual interests of both sides and it covers the entire scope of education in general and Technical education in particular. It will strengthen the efforts of both the institutes in promoting higher education in their respective areas of expertise. He said that NITTTR, Chandigarh would provide research facility to the Ph.D. students of the YMCA University and act as research centre to conduct course work for Ph.D. programmes. The Institute would also conduct training programmes for faculty of Engineering, Management and other technical supporting staff, he added.
As per the provisions of the MoU, both the institutions have agreed to support each other’s endeavours in delivery of academic programmes and research activities through exchange of scientific and technical information, supervision of postgraduate and Ph.D. students, organisation of events such as short term programmes, seminars, workshops, conferences and training programmes and training of students will be undertaken as per the facilities and resources available.
