Social activist Nutan Thakur has filled a writ petition in Allahabad high court Lucknow bench against the movie, Ramleela to be released on 15th November.As per the petition, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film has been given the name Ramleela while it has nothing to do with this pious sanctimonious Hindu religious event; instead the film calls itself गोलियों की रामलीला (Ramleela of bullets). The official trailer of the film shows abusive language and intimate scenes between Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone which are far away from the religious connotation the word ‘Ramleela’ carries. Thus the use of the word is hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus. Hence Nutan has prayed for immediate change of the name of this movie and banning of Promos or non-grant of a certificate by censor board if the producer does not do so.
