The Chandigarh Press Club organised a splash pool party exclusively for women on the club premises on June 30, 2013. The party was organised by Hari Fashions Company, a night wear and swimwear manufacturers. Nearly 50 women participated in the party, which was marked by various games and competitive events for them. Live DJ music, water games, fun events, various competitions marked the event, which saw overwhelming participation from women. At the end of the function, Mrs Jyoti Garg, proprietor of Hari Fashion Company, distributed prizes, comprising swimming costumes made by her own company, goggles and swimming caps, among winners of various competitive events. Mrs Garg said the event was a great success and the reason behind sponsoring and organising such event by her company was to encourage women to take up sports and encourage them to engage in physical activities, which is crucial for their health.
