New Delhi : The Union Health Ministry has made a notable change in the CoWin certificates for Covid 19 vaccination by removing the image of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Officials said the PM’s image was removed due to the Election Commission’s Model Code of Conduct. Earlier, these certificates included a photograph of Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with a quote affirming India’s collective resolve to overcome the coronavirus, which read, “Together, India will defeat COVID-19.” Prime Minister Modi’s photo and name have now been removed from these certificates.

Following which, many users speculated that the change in the vaccine certificate was due to side effects of Covishield, which was manufactured by the Serum Institute of India (SII) under a licensing agreement with AstraZeneca. Many people in India have checked their vaccination certificates. On social media, users are continuously discussing that now there is no picture of PM Modi in the CoWin certificates. Many users have also tweeted on this matter.
