Amrit Lal of Chandigarh Club won the overall Championship of two day Pitch & Putt Golf Tournament held at the British School Golf Academy, Sec 44, Chandigarh. The competition was organized in six categories A, B, C, D, E and F.There was a tie for the overall champion between Amrit Lal, Promod Gupta & Aditya Sood. Which Amrit Lal won by scoring par on Tee off. Aditya & Promod lost the hole. In Category A Promod Gupta was the winner with a two day score of 49 scoring 5 under par on a nine hole par 27 Golf Course. Mayank was Second with 51 followed by Tarish Sekhon and Sonu 53 was joint third. In category B Amritlal scored 5 under 49, Anand 51 and Ekamjot 55 for the second and third positions. In Category C Aditya Sood was declared the winner with five under 49 Jainesh Jeev second with 55 and Lakshya Singh 56 was third. In Category D winner was Vasu Sehgal, Shayam Preet was second, Ananya Kapoor & Vinay bagged joint third position.

The prizes were awarded by Mr. B. S Mangat Hony Secretary Chandigarh Golf Club. All together 80 children participated in the tournament. Speaking on the occasion Mr. Manjit Kochar, Jt Director, Academy of Golf, Chandigarh Golf Club said “We would hold such Golf Tournaments regularly for kids. It is very important that children are provided such Pitch & Putt Golf courses where children can shoot Birdies, par and hole in ones which is very encouraging for the youngsters.” Said Mrs. Mona Sethi, Principal, The British School, Chandigarh, “All category winners, first and second runners up, were awarded with trophies. There were prizes for nearest to the pin on both days.  The tournament was played on gross score that was calculated after two rounds of 9 holes played by the children over two days of competitive and exciting Pitch and Putt Golf.” Both boys and girls participated in the tournament. In this tournament 30 children come all the way from D.P.S Khanna to participate.
