Today to mark the 70th anniversary of nuclear attacks on Hiroshima & Nagasaki, Yuvsatta & Peace Club of KB DAV Sr. Sec. Public School, Chandigarh organized various Intra-School events at the School campus. In which young children’s were involved in face-painting, slogan & poster making events to spread the message of nonviolence and world without wars, bombs & nuclear arsenals.
Addressing the students & honouring the winners autobiographies of Mahatma Gandhi Mrs. Pooja Prakash, Principal of the School said that it is responsibility of each one of us to nurture mother earth, to upkeep the purity of air, water & soil. And young students can take upon the challenge and become harbingers of peace & harmony.
Some of the heart touching slogans and posters students prepared included messages like ‘We Want to Grow up & Not Blow Up’, ‘NO WARS, BOMBS, NUCLEAR’, ‘Just Say NO to Nukes’, ‘No More Hiroshima’s, No More Nagasaki’s’ etc.
Congratulating KBDAV-7 School management for the initiative Pramod Sharma, Coordinator of Yuvsatta & founder of Peace Clubs in tricity Schools, shared that we all must aim and work for ‘One World’, with no wars, no bombs, no violence, a world where humanity and universal brotherhood prevails.
