Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh released the “Vision Document” of the Fisheries Department at H.P. Secretariat, today. This Vision Document was prepared under the chairmanship of former Director and former U.N.D.P. Advisor Dr. Kuldeep Kumar, which consists of upcoming developmental activities of the Fisheries Department and various water conservation programs of the State.
On this occasion, Chief Minister said that with a view to promote fish activities, this document had been prepared. It would be of immense use and would definitely increase the production of the fishes, he said. He said that thousands of youth associated with the fish business would also be benefit through it. He said that the Vision Document was like a blue print available with the department for future activities. He said that now the aim of the Government would be to achieve the targets mentioned in the Vision document within the stipulated time.
Forest and Fisheries Minister, Shri Thakur Singh Bharmauri, State Forest Development Corporation, Vice Chairman, Shri Kewal Singh Pathania, Principal Secretary Fisheries, Shri Sanjay Gupta, Director, Fisheries Department, Shri Gurcharan Singh and other senior officers of the department were also present on the occasion.
