The Chief Minister’s Relief Fund come as a big succour to 12 year old girl Shilpa from Daad village near Chamunda in Kangra district who met with an accident and is in coma since last eight months.
When her father Shri Sanjeev Kumar approached Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh for financial assistance, he immediately released a sum of rupees 1.30 lakh to the family to meet out the medical expenses. The Chief Minister also assured the family that government would provide more assistance if required in the near future.
It is pertinent to mention here that Shri Sanjeev Kumar lost his mother in an accident in June this year in which Shilpa and he himself received serious injuries. Shilpa is still in deep coma and he walk on crutches. He had been running from pillar to post for financial assistance for medical treatment of his daughter.
The family met the Chief Minister at Tapovan on Thursday and after listening to their woes, he released a sum of Rs. 1.30 lakh to Shri Sanjeev Kumar for medical treatment of Shilpa as well as his own.
