Virbhadra Singh directs HPKVN to take up demand driven training
INVC NEWS Shimla, With a view to achieve convergence and harmonization of different training programmes of different departments and to prepare a roadmap for skill development together with establishing an IT and modern technology based information system, the first meeting of Board of Directors of Himachal Pradesh Kaushal Vikas Nigam (HPKVN) was held here today. The meeting was chaired by Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh. The Chief Minister directed the Nigam to take up demand driven training programme and also to achieve the target in time bound manner so that the unemployed youth of the State could get a meaningful training so as to capture opportunity of employment and self-employment. Earlier Managing Director HPKVN Shri Rajesh Sharma briefed about the aims, objectives and interventions of the Nigam. Transport Minister Shri G.S. Bali, Industries & Information and Public Relations Minister Shri Mukesh Agnihotri, Rural Development & Panchayati Raj Minister Shri Anil Sharma, Chief Secretary Shri P. Mitra, ACSs Dr. Shrikant Baldi, Shri R.D. Dhiman, Shri P.C. Dhiman, Special Secretary Finance Shri Akshay Sood were present on the occasion.
