Virbhadra Singh announces Sub Tehsil for Majheen

INVC NEWS Shimla, Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today dedicated development projects and laid foundation stones of projects worth Rs 25 crore in the Changer area of the Jawalamukhi assembly segment in Kangra district. Addressing a massive public meeting at Majheen, the Chief Minister announced Sub-Tehsil  for Majheen besides upgradation of Primary Health Centre at Majheen to Community Health Centre and veterinary dispensaries at Majheen and Lagru. He also announced science block for GSSS Majheen and Rs 10 lakh each for construction of play-field of GSSS Majheen and similar facilities for government Primary School Majheen. He announced  upgradation of few schools including Government Middle School Bhatal Khurd and  Surla to High school and  upgradation of Government Primary school, Chowki- Sihorbala , GPS Dadru,  GPS Dal ( Dhater) and GPS Faker to Middle schools besides construction of road to Village Sidhpur via Kut Kashmir. Chief Minister also dedicated the newly operationalised Police Station at Khundian to the people of the area besides inaugurating police post at Majheen. He laid foundation stone of Majheen-Chowki-Dhorain-Jaman –Mehera, Harwah via Jandar Chhir road to cost Rs 2.12 crore. This would benefit as many as 10 villages of the area and a population of around 3748 directly and indirectly. He also laid the foundation stone of the 33KV Electric sub-station cum office of Assistant Engineer at Majheen to be constructed with an outlay of Rs 4.21 crore. Four feeders of 11 KV each will be installed at Silh, Majheen, Tihri and Palwan benefitting 28 thousand people of 43 villages of nine panchayats and will minimise the transmission and distribution losses. Shri Virbhadra Singh laid foundation stone of the a link road from Silh to Gagruhi via Dhareen Jangal to be completed with an outlay of Rs 3.24 crore which will connect four villages having population of around 850 besides performing foundation stone laying ceremony of  Adhe-di-Hatti, Masrehar, Rehar and Kuth Sarotrian road to cost 4.36 crore and benefiting as many as 1000 people of the area. He also inaugurated the newly constructed forest rest house at Majheen(Pian da Ghatta) completed with an outlay of Rs 15.33 lakhs. Later, he also laid foundation stone of various check dams to be constructed at Faker costing Rs.3.75 crore. He said that it was the priority of the government to develop remote and far-flung areas of the State and the Changer area of the Jawalamukhi constituency was one of them which was on priority agenda. Referring to the cases of corruption being levelled against him, Shri Virbhadra Singh said that it was Anurag Thakur and Prem Kumar Dhumal who were conniving with one of the Union Minister to hatch conspiracies against him.  He said that it seemed that it was a handiwork of the Union Minister and Prime Minister was not behind this conspiracy. He said that the language the sons of Prem Kumar Dhumal uses needs to learn etiquettes. The type of derogatory language they use needs to be controlled as we too can reply in such a language but the Congress is a party of discipline and decency. He said that twice Prem Kumar Dhumal became Chief Minister and twice he framed charges against me and after facing the session trial, I came clear out from the trials. “ I will fight till the last and wont be cowed by their cheap tactics”, he said. He said that it was the responsibility of the ruling governments to protect all religions alike and for the very reason our country was secular and largest democratic country in the world. Everyone has a right to practice his / her own religion. But it was rather a matter of worry that few communities were feeling unsafe. . We have to carry the people of all religions together and protect their interests at all costs, he added. Chairman, State Finance Commission, Shri Kuldeep Kumar lauded the efforts of the Chief Minister for carrying out equal and balanced development of the entire State. Local MLA Shri Sanjay Rattan counted the developments of the area and urged for upgradation of various health and educational institutions and construction of few link roads.
