INVC,The Chief Minister Uttarakhand Vijay Bahuguna met the union rural development minister Jairam Ramesh and held an extensive discussion on the Prime Minister Gram Sarhak Yojna (PMGSY) and roads being constructed by the help of World Bank.
The Chief Minister said that after dealing with the Uttarakhand disaster, the state government will now boost the work under rural road program. In this direction, a finance controller will also be appointed to fasten the process of attaining financial sanctions.
He also expressed consent over jairam Ramesh’s suggestion on setting up a rural road development construction age to speed up the construction workl. He has asked Mr Ramesh to give a quick sanction to the other proposals made by the state.
The Joint Secretary, Indian Government and the local commissioner Uttarakhand SD Sharma were also present during the meeting
