Videocon Telecom’s first-ever youth engagement initiative ‘Young Manch’ culminates in a grand success

Videocon Telecom, concluded the first season of youth engagement program ‘Young Manch’, with great success at the Indradhanush Auditorium. The Grand Finale was graced by a galaxy of celebrities and dignitaries which included internationally acclaimed Punjabi Singer & Actor Gippy Grewal, versatile performer SB Haryanvi, Bhagwant Mann, Mrs Savita Bhatti and Mrs Sandhu among the chief guests to grace the occasion. The program kick started in August this year, with talent hunt events conducted in over 130 colleges and institutes, reaching out over 5 Lac students which saw participation from over 4000 students in across 30 cities Punjab and Haryana. This was followed by 30 city finale events where winners from various colleges and institutes competed for participation on the Grand Finale. Winners at each stage were picked up thru a jury of acclaimed celebs, powerful on event, SMS and social media voting. The finale, witnessed some great performances including singing, dancing and ramp walk from 50 young and enthusiastic city finale winners from over 30 cities in Punjab and Haryana.  At the finale, Ruchika (MKJK College, Rohtak), Mallika (KV DAV College, Karnal), Bahar (INIFD College, Chandigarh) & Riya (Govt. College, Panchkula, Sec 14) from Chandigarh were crowned the ‘Face of Videocon’; Sonu (Kurukshetra University), Rupali (DAV College, Yamuna Nagar) and Sunny (DAV College, Jalandhar) were the winners of the Singing competition whereas Anil (Post Graduate College, Hisar), Shivam(GGNIMT, Ludhiana) and D Phoenix Group (GCM 11, Chandigarh) were amongst the winners of the Dance talent round.  The winners from the talent round walked away with grand prizes including LED’s and LCD’s, while the winners of Face of Videocon had one more reason to smile, in addition to the grand prize of LED, the winners will also become the face of Videocon Telecom for an year and shall feature in the teleom’s brand advertisements. The success of the first season of ‘Young Manch’ is a testimony of the reach of the brand and is an an indication of today’s youth inclination towards Videocon Telecom.
