The Vice President of India, Shri M. Hamid Ansari was presented with a copy of the book “Warrior State : Pakistan in the Contemporary World” by its author Shri T.V. Paul here today. The Vice President congratulated the author for bringing out such a useful and informative book on a very relevant issue.
Incorporating a rich theoretical explanation in to a swift narrative, drawing insights from history, international relations, sociology, religious studies, political science, and comparative development, the book presents a deep, multidimensional, and readable account of how such an acutely troubled and unstable country became the way it is, as well as the forces that keep it mired in instability.
Shri Paul is James McGill Professor of International Relations in the Department of Political Science at McGill University, Montreal, Canada.
