On the occasion of 11th Annual Convocation of Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, Alumni Awards; Shri V P Agrawal, Chairman, Airports Authority of India was honoured with this prestigious award today in the Category of “Corporate Development / Entrepreneurship” by the Director, IIT Roorkee, Prof Pradipta Banerji; Shri Anal Jit Singh, Chairman, Governing Council, IIT Roorkee and Shri Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Member Planning Commission were also present during the function.
Shri V.P. Agrawal is the first from the batch of 1976 to whom the award has been conferred upon. Shri V P Agrawal, an IIT Alumni was born in 1955 and acquired his Bachelor of Engineering and Masters of Engineering Degree from IIT Roorkee. Subsequently, he was a fellow in Civil Aviation Management at International Aviation Management Training Institute, Montreal, Canada.
Speaking on this occasion, Shri Agrawal thanked the IIT, Roorkee for awarding him with the “Distinguished Alumni Award 2011”.
