US-India Relationship Set to Strengthen with Upcoming State Visit by PM Modi

On June 22, 2023 , US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden will play host to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a state dinner. This official state visit is set to strengthen the already close relationship between the United States and India, according to a statement from the White House.

The visit is expected to foster greater connections between Americans and Indians, and to underscore both countries’ commitment to a free, open, prosperous and secure Indo-Pacific region. During their meeting, Biden and Modi are expected to explore ways to expand educational exchanges and people-to-people ties.
