Panchkula: In jyoti murder case panchkula police is with empty hands after 46 days of incidence. The prime accused congress MLA of doon area Ram Kumar Chaudhary along with other accused is still at large. Intensifying its efforts to nab the absconding accused Ram Kumar Chaudhary, who was recently elected MLA in Himachal Pradesh, Haryana Police has declared cash reward of Rs. two lakh for providing information leading to his arrest. Similarly, a cash reward of Rs.50 thousand each have been announced for the arrest of his associates- Paramjeet alias Pamma s/o Laxman Dass and Dharampal alias Maddu s/o Bachna Ram Labana residents of Village- Haripur Sandoli in baddi and Gurmeet Singh s/o Gurdayal Singh resident of Housing Board Colony, Baddi, district Solan (HP) in the crime. The efforts for making arrest were reviewed at the Police Hqrs today and the above rewards were announced. A special police team headed by Ashok Kumar IPS, DCP Ambala is camping in Dharamshala to execute a fresh warrants of arrest issued by Panchkula court on 5thJanuary, 2013. SN Vashisht, DGP, Haryana Police has also sent a request to DGP, Himachal Pradesh with a copy of warrants of arrest for seeking help of Himachal Pradesh Police in arresting the fugitives.On Saturday panchkula police arrested Ram Kumar’s brother Harbhajan Chaudhary from baddi and produced before the duty magistrate on Sunday. But duty magistrate turned down the request of police to give harbjajan on four days police remand and released him on bail. The police alleged that harbhajan chaudhary is helping ram kumar for hiding him and giving him monetary help of rupees 50 thousand. The police booked him under section 216 (harbouring a criminal). The police officials were very confident when they produced the accused in the court but as the police didn’t put the case properly and the court gave bail to harbhajan singh. It is pertinent to say that on 22nd november, somebody informed police control room that the dead body of girl is lying on the deserted road in sector-21. The police rushed to the spot and found her identity card from her purse and contacted jyoti’s parents at village-bugga in hoshiarpur.
