The entry of Sun into Libra is called ‘Tula Sankranti’. This Sankranti is celebrated especially in Orissa and Karnataka. This day has great importance. Today i.e. on October 17, the Sun God is going to enter Tula Rashi. Tula Sankranti 2022 has special significance in Hinduism. According to the Hindu calendar, Tula Sankranti is being celebrated on 17 October. On this day, the time of Punya Kaal is from 12:06 in the afternoon to 5.50 in the evening. At the same time, the time of Mahapunya Kaal is from 3:55 pm to 5:50 pm. It is believed that bathing and donating during the holy period is considered auspicious.

Significance of Tula Sankranti
The festival of Tula Sankranti is celebrated to reduce famine and drought, so that the crop is good and farmers get the benefit of earning more and more. On this day, after bathing in the morning, offer water to Lord Surya Dev. There is a special significance of getting up in Brahma Muhurta on this day. After this, take water in a copper vessel, put flowers, rice in it and offer Arghya to the Sun God. Keep in mind that while offering water to the Sun God, keep chanting Surya Mantras. Along with this, pray to the Sun God to get strength, intelligence, health and respect.
