The tribute to Late Jagjit Singh by the famous ghazal singer Ghulam Ali was a very touching one. It started with Ghulam Ali presenting a garland on the deceased Jagjit Singh’s photograph, and while doing that he got very emotional.

Moving on to the tribute, the first ghazal of the evening sung by him was ‘Phaasle aise bhi honge’ which is a very popular Ghulam Ali ghazal. A very apt. ghazal for the start of the event.
The entire event, which was full of music and ghazals, remembering the late iconic ghazal master Jagjit Singh, lasted for around one and a half hour. In that period of time, overcome by such strong emotions over the loss of his dear friend, Ghulam Ali remembered Late Jagjit Singh throughout, with his each performance.

The program concluded with one of Late Jagjit Singhs famous composition ‘Chaudhvi Ki Raat’ sung by Ghulam Ali in his own style. He added his own personal touch in this ghazal as the contribution for the closing tribute.

On this occasion, organized by Graphisads, were present the MD, Graphisads, Mukesh Gupta, Farooq Abdullah, Daler Mehndi and Anil Sharma from Amrapali Group to name a few. Talking about the loss of his dear friend, Daler Mehndi said, “When Jagjit Singh was hospitalized, Hariharan, Ghulam Ali and I would pray for his quick recovery. It is rather shocking to know that he is not among us and is a great loss for us. Nobody can take his place in the ghazal league”
