The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered three more cases in compliance of the orders of  Hon’ble High Court at Calcutta, passed in connection with WPA (P) 142, 143, 144, 145, 146, 147, 148, 149 & 169 of 2021, dated 19.08.2021 and taken over the investigation of these cases earlier registered at different Police Stations of West Bengal on various allegations.

Out of above, 1st case was earlier registered at Police Station Golf Green, District Kolkata vide FIR No. 74/2021 dated 16.05.2021 on the allegations that the accused (residents of Kolkata) attacked the complainant and his family members with bamboo, rod, blade etc. and the victims suffered injuries due to the said attack. They were taken to PG Hospital and after treatment; they were discharged. Section 354 & 506 of IPC were added by the Police in the case subsequently as per the orders of the Court.

The 2nd case was earlier registered at Police Station Gangarampur, District-South Dinajpur vide FIR No. 150/2021 dated 01.05.2021 on the allegations that the accused (residents of Gangarampur) went to the residence of victim on 27.04.2021 and took him to Gangarampur Kaldighi. It was further alleged that the victim was then attacked by the accused with iron rod, bamboo & other dangerous weapons and was left severely wounded. The victim was admitted to Gangarampur Kaldighi Hospital but he finally succumbed to such injuries on 29.04.2021.

The third UD case No. 13/2021 dated 10.05.2021 was earlier registered at Police Station Amdanga, District North 24 Parganas. It was alleged that the accused murdered the victim (i.e. husband of the complainant). It was further alleged that the dead body of the said victim was found hanging on 10.05.2021.

CBI has so far registered 43 cases and Investigation is continuing in these cases.
