The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of severe cold from December 15. Between December 9 and 11, Uttarakhand, Jammu Kashmir, Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh may experience light rain and snowfall at some places along with fog at different places. The cold is now starting to show its effect. The temperature is dropping especially in the morning and evening. The mercury has reached below one degree in the mountainous areas.
The weather is expected to remain dry across the state. In the coming three days, the minimum temperature of the state is likely to be around one degree Celsius. The maximum temperature is also likely to remain two to three degrees Celsius.
There is a possibility of partly cloudy sky in the higher Himalayan region after noon. There is a possibility of fog in the morning and evening in the plains and frost in the morning in the mountains.
