There should be no wastage of covid-19 vaccines

Health Minister Dr Raghu Sharma said that in coming days the health department playing an important role will conduct various activities a day before the camps in Prashasan Gaon ke Sang campaign.

The Health Minister said that under the campaign, teams will be formed at the level of BCMO based on the population of the gram panchayat and ensuring necessary resources such as Temefos, BTI, MLO, Gambusia and others, it would be ensured to carry out anti larval activities till a day before the camp. He said that the doctors in the camp will do health check-up and treatment of patients and will make people aware to remain alert from Covid-19.

Awareness will be created to prevent from seasonal diseases
Dr Sharma said that publicity will be made to remain alert from vector-borne diseases such as malaria, dengue, chikungunya and zika a day before the camps. Along with this, on spot testing and treatment of blood sugar and blood pressure of the people above the age of 30 years will also be done. Publicity of schemes related to the department will be done through hoardings, posters and pamphlets. Pregnant women will be registered for antenatal check-up, testing of haemoglobin, blood pressure etc and distribution of IFA and calcium tablets will also be done in the camp.

Publicity of Schemes including Janani Shishu Suraksha Yojana
The Health Minister said that arrangements would be made to publicise the information to the general public about the services provided under Free Janani Suraksha Yojana and Free Janani Shishu Suraksha Yojana. He said that directions have been given to focus on administering the second dose of Covid-19 vaccine to such beneficiaries on priority, whose second dose is due and more days have elapsed than the prescribed gap between the first and second doses.

Emphasis will be vaccination of children
Dr Sharma said that there should be no wastage of covid-19 vaccines and maximum utilisation should be done of the allotted vaccines. He said that it has been directed to mobilise such children who could not be vaccinated on time due to corona pandemic and get them vaccinated in the camp. He said that the medical officers will inform the general public about the oxygen bank and availability of oxygen concentrators and also inform them to download e-sanjeevni mobile app from Google Play Store for availing free teleconsultation.

Survey will be conducted to link to Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme
The Health Minister directed to conduct a survey to increase awareness to link the beneficiaries deprived of getting registered in Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana to the scheme. He said that prior to the day of organising the camp, the beneficiaries deprived of Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana should be identified by conducting door-to-door survey. He said such beneficiaries, who are linked with Jan Aadhaar but are not linked with Chiranjeevi scheme, their data will be provided by the department in soft copy. Registration process should be done through the nearest e-mitra centre or at the camp site on the camp day. The Health Minister said that such families who are not linked with Jan Aadhaar should be identified; provide them necessary information and help related to registration of Jan Aadhaar and after the Jan Aadhaar registration, should get them registered in Chiranjeevi scheme. He has directed the District Health Committee to display IEC material related to the scheme at the camp site using the budget allotted earlier by RSHAA.

Disability Certificate
Arrangement will be made for making disability certificates at the camp site for the convenience of the disabled.

Ayurveda Department will also take part
The Ayurveda Minister said that the State Government to resolve the problems of the farmers and people in rural areas on the spot has appointed the Director, Ayurveda Department, Ajmer as the nodal officer in Prashasan Gaon ke Sang. The health check-up will be conducted by Ayurveda, Homeopathy and Unani system of medicine by the Ayurveda and Indian Medicine department. Medicines available with the department will be distributed free of cost as per the requirement. He said that medical officers of the department in the camp will inform about the utility of local herbs, about health protection measures and consultation will be given. He said those dispensaries or hospitals requiring land for building construction will be given application for the land allotment.
