Chief coach of India Athletic Team and Ukraine resident Anatoliy Fatyeyev met Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat at CM Residence on Thursday. Coach Mr. Fatyeyev is training 17 trainers and 80 athletes from Uttarakhand at Maharana Pratap Sports College, Dehradun from January 14 to January 19.

On this occasion, Chief Minister said that there is no dearth of talent among the sportspersons of Uttarakhand. All our players are performing well. He hoped that by acquiring training from an experienced coach, Uttarakhand along with India’s performance in athletics will improve.

Mr. Fatyeyev said that earlier in 2002 also during the Busan Asian Games, he had imparted training to Indian athletes. He said that the instructors here are very good and are trained and he is feeling good while working with them.

Chief Secretary Mr. Utpal Kumar, Secretary Sports Dr. Bhupinder Kaur Aulakh, Former Athletic Coach Mr. Gurphool Singh, Director Sports Mr. Pratap Singh Shah and Mr. Navin Kar were also present on the occasion.
