Industries Minister, Shri Mukesh Agnihotri said that the State Government was committed for uniform and balanced development of each area of the State and under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister, Shri Virbhadra various milestones of development had been achieved during last two and a half year.

Shri Agnihotri was speaking on the closing ceremony of district level Theog Festival at Theog in Shimla district today. He said the State Government had given added priority for development of Theog area which had witnessed speedy development in the last two years. The Government had given approval to upgrade Theog hospital to 200 bedded hospital whereas the tenders had already been invited for construction of bus stand having modern facilities. He added that tenders would be soon invited for the construction of Theog bypass and the work would be completed within two and a half year.

He said the Chief Minister would soon lay the foundation stone of Mini Secretariat building at Theog. A 66 KV power sub centre had also been approved for Theog which would be constructed by spending Rs. 10 crore. As many as five Government Senior Secondary Schools were opened in the area during last year and five more schools had been opened in this year, besides inauguration of ITI.

He assured that the demands raised by the Nagar Parishad would be taken up with the Chief Minister.

Chairman, Nagar Parishad Theog Shri Hemraj Verma also spoke on the occasion.
Shimla District Rural Congress President Shri Kehar Singh Khachi, Vice Chairman of State Industrial Developmental Corporation Shri Atul Sharma and other prominent person were also present on the occasion.
