The urban and rural areas facing shortage of drinking water should be accorded top priority : .Kiran Choudhary

INVC,, Haryana, Public Health Engineering and Excise and Taxation Minister, Haryana, Mrs.Kiran Choudhary today directed the officers to ensure adequate drinking water supply to the people in view of ensuing summer season. Mrs.Choudhary, who was addressing a meeting of officers of Public Health Engineering Department at her residence in Bhiwani today, said that the urban and rural areas facing shortage of drinking water should be accorded top priority. She directed the officers to ensure that people and cattle in any area of the district should not face shortage of drinking water. New water works and boosting stations were being constructed as per need of the people, she added. The Minister also directed the officers to improve sewerage system in the city. She asked them to get the sewerage system of the city cleaned periodically so that it might function smoothly. Seepages in the water works should also be plugged to prevent wasteful flow of drinking water. She also directed the officers to fill the village pond with water. She also listened to the grievances of the people and assured them to make all out efforts to sort out their genuine problems. Ms.Shruti Choudhary, MP from Bhiwani-Mahendergarh Parliamentary Constituency, Prof.Chatter Singh Chauhan, former Vidhan Sabha Speaker and senior officers of the district administration were also present on this occasion.
