The upcoming Punjabi film “47 to 84-Hun Main Kisnu Watan Kahunga” creates a stir in North Belt

The Punjabi film “47 to 84-Hun Main Kisnu Watan Kahunga” creates a stir in the society. An independent group supporting the cause go biking in the North belt of India from Delhi to Amritsar and back stopping at cities like Ambala City, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Phagwara, Mohalli, Chandigarh, etc en route. The bikers were accompanied with a truck displaying framed photographs of actual photographs and paintings made by citizens about the 1984 Anti-Sikh riots. These paintings, alongwith the trailer of the film were displayed at every halt of the bikers. The bikers and the starcast of the movie were welcomed by huge crowds cheering and supportive crowd at every halt.

“47 to 84-Hun Main Kisnu Watan Kahunga” will take you back into the past and narrate the harrowing times of partition and the anti-Sikh Genocide that still haunt the entire Sikh community. This movie is going to be a refreshing take on the journey of a little girl through the traumatic times of India – Pakistan partition and then when her life was heading to normalcy, the 84 genocide happened. ”47to 84-Hun Main Kisnu Watan Kahunga” is a story of a nine-year-old girl named Sukhmani. She gets to witness the partition at this tender age and then the 1984 Genocide. She decides to pen down a book on the various events of her life. Thus comes into being ‘47 to 84’ that also happens to be the name of the book that she writes.

Coming from the stable of Shemaroo that has to its credit many blockbuster movies, the music has already gained popularity. The film is ready to be released on 30th May’14. Though the film is on a serious subject, it is creating a lot of curiosity and excitement amongst the youth who have now come out on the streets to show their support for the film.
