The Chief Minister Harish Rawat carried out a survey of rehabilitation and redevelopment work being carried in Kedarnath on Monday. w. The Chief Minister Harish Rawat reached Kedarnath through a helicopter on Monday. He held a survey of the work being carried out in Kedarnath. He expressed contentment on the quality and nature of work being carried out. The CM met the Principal Colonel of NIM Ajay Kothiyal and his entire team to take complete information regarding the development work.
The Chief Minister appreciated the dedication with which NIM is carrying out work despite extreme weather conditions. The CM announced payment of additional Rs 100 for the labourers working on project sites and also ordered for insurances of both labourers as well as workers at Kedarnath.
He also gave instructions to build night shelters in districts of Chaar Dhaam. The CM also met the policemen deployed at Kedarnath and enquired about their well being.
The CM said that is commendable that development work is being carried out despite challenging weather conditions.
The CM also appreciated the work being carried out by police personnel in Kedarnath and asked the DM to prepare a proposal to give extra Rs 5000 per month to policemen and workers of other department working in Kedarnath The CM appreciated the work being carried out by the DM Raghav Langar and Principal Colonel NIM Ajay Kothiyal.
While interacting with the CM, Col Ajay Kothiyal said that a 15 Meter long and 50 meter wide helipad is being constructed. This will be ready by 26th December.
The CM while at the Guptkashi helipad said that the effect of winter yatra has been good. Pilgrims are coming even during winters and so far 50000 pilgrims have completed the yatra .
